Have tried A21 Dining twice the last year. Both the Winter and Spring menu are fantastic. Niko and his staff is welcoming and very attentive. There is no pretentiousness, just a love for what they are doing. The "limpa" is amazing and that goes for the butter as well. I thoroughly enjoy the narrative that goes along with the dishes,... Me and my wife came here on our honeymoon (unplanned), but this turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay in Helsinki. This place really did have the wow factor, from the private dining room the staff very kindly let us use (as our hotel, unbeknown to us, had told them we were on honeymoon) , to... More

The expectations were not met at all. Very warm in the restaurant and busy like a lunch bar. Might suit better as afterski than dining out and expecting a quite calm place to discuss and enjoy a evening. Food and drinks became hard to enjoy. I do hope a quick fix of aircon and some adjustments around the people flow.... More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice romantic restaurant in Helsinki, that would combine local cuisine with nice wines, with a Finnish touch. We found A21 more than perfect; they took us on a "walk through the forest". The experience was even greater because the waiters took the time to sit with us to tell us a story... More

Perfect for a drink before or after dinner. Or whenever... The drinklist is impressing and the service with your bartender coming to your table to take the order is just great!

The menu was OK'ish (some courses were not to my liking) but I felt like the drinks to go with the food did not stand up

A21 offers a trip to forest combined with specially made cocktails matching the food. The place has only two menus for 5 and 7 courses (or "walks"). The food is fine dining with style, lot of interesting techniques and tastes with very lovely plating. The place is relatively small so reservation is a good idea for bigger groups. There's also... I've dined here once before a couple of years ago and the experience with the journey menu and cocktail pairing was unforgettable. When living abroad in a place that is a "mecca" for restaurant and hotel lovers, I am very hard to please whenever I come back home to Finland. However, when I now came home for a short vacation... We love innovative cooking and top notch cocktails. Here we got both. Not cheap but way more than what we expected - and actually worth it. Last week for the "summer" menu. A bit hokey at first with the meal being explained by the server with a photo of the sea. But once you get beyond the "unique" approach of... More
