Interesting combination of tastes

Had the menu Gaijin - what a trip to the world of Asian tastes! A lovely aperitive was a nice start followed by several small portions of Asian food prepared in an experimental way. Food was reat but the space itself is not ideal - the acustics is quite challenging and we could hardly hear anything... read more

...but I did! Every little dish they brought to the table was a taste sensation! And staff was excellent too! Since I live in Stockholm, I just had to visit the sister restaurant Farang - almost as good :-)

Excellent food and personal service. The seats are a little too close with the neighbour, but overall experience of the menu was great.

This restaurant takes you on a journey to North Asia. its offers unique flavors by combining traditional Japanese and Korean dishes with dishes from the North of China, in a modern way. The dining room has a warm intimate atmosphere suitable for a private dining experience, whilst the bar is a relaxed lounge area with long communal tables and a... More

We were lucky to get a table at the early seating on a friday night. We started of with the cocktail of the day - something gin and cucumber, which tasted great. Fortunately we had just enough time for the tasting menu. We chose the accompanying drinks menu and had one of the best white wines I've ever had with... More

Restaurant Gaijin surprised again with excellent service and flexibility and the taste of Gaijin menu. Small portions variety is disperse : seafood, beef, fish, salads mainly Aisian flavours. The biggest surprise was the recommended wine which was a Canadian Riesling. Very aromatic and we had it along the whole menu. If you dont want to have a 9 course tasting... More

Thanks to suggestions from local friends we ate some wonderful meals during our weekend in Helsinki. Gaijin's Sunday Tasting Menu was at the top of that list. The different courses were one better than the other, and that pork bun was spectacular. Add to that a nice atmosphere, attentive waiters and a vast selection of sake and Asian beers on... More

The menu consists of Japanese-Korean- etc. cross kitchen portions. Imaginative, tasty, fresh ... And what a service although the restaurant has been full both times we have visited. Not the cheapest place but the experience is worth every euro.

One of the best trendy restaurants we have been to...we had the Gaijin tasting menu, and each of the 9 courses were seasoned so uniquely, with fresh ingredients, artistic display and the combination of flavours just popped in your mouth. Very creative and so tasty. A true testament to what a tasting menu should be. To start off with the... More

The restaurant indoor décor is personal and modern. Please also prepared to sit very tightly. The menu is based on North East Asian (Northern China, Japan, South Korea) traditional dishes which have been mixed in a very original and tasty way. All of the dishes can shared and they can be order in any kind of combos i.e. you mix... More
