With Finnish friends we went for a taste of of Finnish food and were not disappointed. Excellent advice from the hostess meant we had a truly memorable meal paired to some excellent wines. Not cheap but worth every penny for a great taste of Finnish cuisine at its best.

Aito is one my favourite restaurants in Helsinki, I've been there close to twenty times. Whether it's a quick lunch on a Tuesday or an all-out tasting menu with your friends on a Friday, Aito delivers. The dishes are always creative without being too fancy. The wine pairings have been thought through intensly. What really lifts Aito above the rest... More

Excellent service! The staff clearly enjoying what they do. The waiter was enthusiastic about every dish he brought. The food was prepared perfectly, and every bite had such brilliant flavour. Usually this sort of high end places leave me hungry. But the main dish, the goose, left me perfectly satisfied and full without feeling bloated. Add to that a variety... More

I wanted to visit a Finnish restaurant and this one ticked all the boxes. The most deleicious reindeer fillet and a wonderful sea buckthorn panna cotta. Wine list excellent, but expensive as are all wibes in Finland.

This is my favourite restaurant in Helsinki. I have dined here multiple times and can highly recommend it to everyone. Fresh ingredients and good prices. The staff is very attentive and one can trust their food & wine pairings. Unfortunately they are closed for the whole summer due to renovations, but if you are planning to visit Finland in august,... This smallish restaurant accommodates maybe 40 guests or so and it still not too loud. It was full the night we were there because there were 30 of us and all other tables occupied too. Food is nicely presented and delicious. They use even stone plates beautifully. We had a menu with wine pairings which was perfect. As a dessert... More

We picked this restaurant after reading a previous review. A little off the main track but certainly worth a visit. We went for the chefs 5 course menu of 2 starters, 2 mains and a dessert. All fabulous and seasonal Finnish food - smoked bream, partridge, sea trout, pork and rhubarb. Lovely presentation and all very tasty. Staff also very... More

We had the menu of the day with two starters and one main course with dessert. Great fresh domestic ingredients of fish, duck and rhubarb among others. Nice selection of wines and good attentive service. If you want to experience Finnish fine dining to a modest price this is the place to visit.

Wine tasting dinner for 10 people, with a menu specially created to suit the wines. Excellent inventive cuisine, faultlessly prepared and served, does not get much better than this !
