We ate at this restaurant, one of several times in August. On this occasion we took the plunge of eating from the 'testing' menu .....and what an experience! Every single taste was different and exciting ....I tried things I would not have the courage to have tried otherwise and each taste was an experience and a discovery. Not only was... More

My wife and I had the 'Bistronomique' lunch out on the very attractive terrace- three courses for 19.50 euros. For the high standard of cooking, this was very good value for money. Carpaccio of beef with a walnut pesto, lovely flaky hake with courgettes in tomato sauce and superb fried potatoes and an exceptionally light and imaginative choux pastry dessert... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful, quite a nice setting, but there are better place to find an economical lunch menu. Caesar salad instantly forgettable, duck with orange OK, but one portion overcooked, and sweet OK. Coffee good, but served with revolting petit-fours. Perhaps it's a different story with their main menus, but I wouldn't go back there for... More

We have just spent 7 days in the Cajarc area and enjoyed two meals in L'Allee des Vignes. Both of them were superb... The first was a try out for their forthcoming menu, and the second was from their a la carte options. The food was imaginative, tasty, and best of all served by a staff that successfully manage both... More

We had a lovely meal in the v pretty garden of this excellent restaurant. We took our two children aged 4 and 7 and they could not have been more accommodating, cooking separate dishes for them. The service was impeccable and the food lovely - especially the desserts which were amazing! Ask for candles if you want that extra ambiance.... More

We dined twice at this lovely restaurant, once alone when we chatted to the owner and then a few weeks later with some American friends who said this was the best meal of their lives, which must say something. The presentation is different and all the food we ate was beautifully cooked and served really hot, The menu is also... More

After two years of waiting, our second visit to L'Allee des Vignes lived up to fevered expectation. Everything we ate - and we ate it all - was fantastic. The highlight, for me at least, was the pan fried duck breast, a speciality of the region treated with absolute precision. The cheese and wine was incredible. There is simply nothing... More

Simply wonderful: the food, the atmosphere, the service. Go and try this restaurant yourself, you will love it!!! Ps: Book in advance as they are really popular especially during the summer months.

L'Allee des Vignes certainly deserves its top 10 rating on Trip Advisor which is how we found this hidden gem. The excellent reviews speak for themselves and our holiday was made even more enjoyable by our trip to this wonderful restaurant.
