Perfect mix between Traditional and progressive

We had an wonderfull evening there boath having the 5 course menue. The courses were all very good. Staff was very friendly. they had a mixup in the kitchen so we had to wait a bit for the starters but they excuse (which for me is enough). I think it is great value for what you get and the water... read more

Restaurant serving local food with international touch. The staf is great and give you feeling to be with friends. Still taking care of all the small things. The restaurant servers 3, 5, 6 or 8 dishes, with possible wine arrangement. All are small presents.

Had an exceptional experience. Service was great. 3 course set dinner was more than enough, with all the little extras you get. Food was exciting, well presented and really interesting in terms of the mix of textures and flavours. The pork belly was a stand out dish. Reminded me of Dabbous or a Texture in London. If you want tasty... More

What to say, this reastaurant is a bit strange as it does not have a menu. Every day the proposal changes, you can only choose in between the number of courses (3, 5, 7). And, also, if you want a wine menu or not. I decided to have a three courses dinner with wine menu, and the quality of food... More

After reading so many good reviews , I had expected more then I got. ( for the price ) I chose the 7 courses, but there were only one that I remembered the next day . . so I had to find the menu to write this review. I would say that still only 2 of the 7 courses ,... More

Creative Nordic menu and interesting taste- its a Nordic scent and innovation from the chef- the Nice tailormade menus in an envelope and places for Your cutlery- its tasteful but should taste more- light in proteins and turning veggie style- i liked it but should be more demanding

We had the 7-course tasting menu, and every dish is a pleasant surprise. The taste is perfectly balanced with a slight hint of sourness. Since it is mid-summer, everything is refreshing and delightful. The dinner took 2.5 hours and vastly improved our mood. It's expensive (USD $110/person without wine), but well-worth it.

I reserve five stars for top restaurants. However, we ate a very nice 7 course meal with great wines at Koka. The location is the best in Gothenburg and the service is also great. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everybody who like a modern, Nordic cuisine based on local ingredients.

Earlier this year Swedish Chef Björn Persson decided to close his Michelin starred restaurant Kock & Vin with one star in the Guide. After a swift refurbishment of the kitchens and diningroom, a brand new restaurant called Koka arose a few weeks later from what had earlier been Kock & Vin. With adjustments in the interior, new menus and prices,... More

I had a very nice time at Koka. Very good service. I had the three courses meal, and that included 3 amuse-bouches.I enjoyed everything, I would say that the menu is very priceworthy for being in Sweden, but unfortunately the wines are very expensive.
