Reelly deserves it's star

Was her yesterday with a friend. Had the full tasting menu (7 courses+wine menu). We had a blast. All the flavours, all the matching wine. A++. The price is also reasonable compared to other 1 star restaurants. The only thing that strangely enough did not match (in our opinion) was the wine for the... read more

The menu changes regularly, so maybe I had a dud menu on the evening I went. I had the 5 course menu - frankly it was rather forgettable and I can't remember every dish. But there was a mackerel cheviche dish, a main that was pork belly and a dessert of berries. I found all the dishes were a bit... More

We had the set 7 courses plus wines. I won't go into details, but believe me, an evening at this restaurant is definetly worth your time. The butter, the butter!! On a critical note: The second red, Barbera I think, should be swapped for something a bit more inspiring. Charging 40 SEK per person for water just feels like a... More

We simply loved KOKA - based on a recommendation from the FT we travelled to Gothenburgh to try out the much hailed restaurant. The room is beautifully designed and although small, there is enouth space between the tables. The innovation levels in the kitchen are high - and the most pleasing thing of all is that this cooking is all... More

My husband and I had the 3 course dinner with the extra cheese course. It was wonderfully innovative in flavours and presentation. Service and food was excellent and impeccable. Must try.

As you would expect the food is good. But it didn't excite me. The wine-menu was good. Everything is a bit expencive. Tasteful interior. Nice to have been there, but afraid I won't return.

So many new tastes! Food I've never tried before, including garden weeds and algae. Swedish ingredients and new combos! Luckily only one menu to go with, or I'd never had the courage. Expensive, but worth it. Lovely athmosphere, slow food, an all-evening food and drink experience. Only thing missed was more Swedish drinking options.

Koka's reputation is well deserved. We enjoyed the 5 course menu, with paired wines, and every serving was innovative, attractive and delicious. The menu features interesting pairings and preparations, served at your pace without any feeling of being rushed. The wait staff was very well informed, provided understandable descriptions of the paired wine selections and were very hospitable. The chef... More

Excellent food, very knowledgeable staff, portions were not too large. We had the three course meal with wine pairings. The food was unique, very tasty. It was a very enjoyable experience. Plan to drop a couple hundred dollars with meal and pairings.

It now has one Michelin star and deserves it. Extremely knowledgable staff. Very interesting setting (butter is served on a stone). The food was fabulous. Highly recommend.
