We wanted to sample traditional Swedish food, and this place was highly recommended, their speciality being meatballs with lingonberries. The meatballs were very bland, and no lingonberries appeared. We mentioned this to the waiter, and the response was a shrug and a half hearted "sorry". No offer to reduce the price or a complimentary desert

Having read some good reviews we made a reservation for Saturday evening. We were given a nicely located table. The food and service were excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive, explaining the various dishes that we had ordered. We would not hesitate to visit again if we have the opportunity. For nice traditional Swedish food & hospitality this restaurant... More

Smaka was only a block from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very crowded on a Thursday night but we got a table outside which was nice because it was still hot at 8:00PM. I had the meatballs with mashed potatoes and gravy with a small salad. My wife had the hake with... More

Great Swedish food which is just what we wanted. Great wine and beer list. Can sit outside but huge doors open from the inside so was very pleasant. A very friendly wait staff.

Went for dinner and had meatballs which were very nice! They come with the usual mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickles and also with some bread. Service was slightly slow but it was compensated by a very very kind waitress! I would recommend it, even tho I had better swedish meatballs somewhere else.

Good restaurant for outdoor dining. Well prepared traditional fare. Liked the Swedish meatballs and pork belly with artichoke.

I was recommended by the hotel to visit this place as I was looking for a good Swedish meal not in the regular path. It was very very good. The staff were very friendly and the good was amazing. It was a little pricey but worth it to me.

The menu is available in English and Swedish, a great help for me. Shared the platter for 2 as a starter with my wife and this was a three tier plate (cake tray like) that hada a wide variety of meat (including Reindeer and Moose) and fish - including Roe. Deliciuous. Had to follow up with meatballs and mashed potato.... More

We went here for a traditional meal and were not disappointed! Food very tasty and excellent prices. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. It is also close to bars to continue your night. Make sure you eat here during your stay!

We had one of the best meals of our entire two week holiday in Sweden. It is a relaxed restaurant and the high standard of cooking came as a pleasant surprise. Excellent value too!
