Nice place

Good for typical Swedish fare. We enjoyed our food, only downside was the attentiveness of the waiting staff which could have been better

We came across this small, cosy restaurant near the Gothenburg University and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best dinner decisions for us in Gothenburg. Although the Smaka menu wasn't extensive, what we had was very tasty. I ordered the humble meatball dish and am still reminiscing over it, although I'm now... More

I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have Swedish food. I think the quality of the meat and the food is very good. The meat as far as i am concerned was tender. Also I could try Swedish charcuterie, things that I never had the chance to do so. Also, waiters were really nice and welcoming.

We wanted a traditional Swedish dish and Smaka did not disappoint. Meatballs, mash and lingonberry...yum!

Generous meetballs with smashed potatoes and good sauce. Price is not very expensive compared to rest of restaurant in Sweden

First went here in 2014 after reading about the place in a Lonely Planet guide so figured it must be good. Booked it online using the website and on arrival, they had no record of our booking but nothing was any trouble as they squeezed us in and we had a lovely evening. Fast forward 12 months and this time... More

Really lovely food and a perfect atmosphere. Wanted a catch up with family and this was the perfect place to do that over good food and drink. Would recommend!

Very nice tipical swedish restaurant. In my opinion this is the best option in Gothenburg. Customer attention is above the average for Gothenburg and food is very nice. Köttbullar is great here. If you like to have meatballs in Ikea, you will love the original ones.

Only negative aspect is a slightly high price, which nevertheless is more than balanced by the excellent quality. Waiters and personnel are nice and friendly, they serve you right away with a bowl of crackers and an exquisite soft bread along a small cup of creamy butter. The appetizers are highly diversified, so are the desserts. In the section meat... More

Great food and with a Swedish menu so not the usual standard fare. Good service and helpful with menu choices. Reasonably priced for Gothenburg.
