This is the best place to experience savory Swedish meatballs with excellent service! Be aware that American Express Card is not accepted, but that is the ONLY thing I do not like about the Lingon! Afterwards, enjoy your walk around this lovely local neighborhood.

I'm sorry but this restaurant didn't really do it for me. I have heard good things about this place but it was just over-priced with food (we had the artic char and the walleye) that didn't give you value for your money. The char plate was very small, and the walleye just didn't taste good. The staff were however friendly... More

Appeared to be a place where locals came to have after work drinks. Outdoor only seating in the summer, even when cold and rainy but they had heat lamps and blankets on the backs of each of the chairs. Had the Swedish meatballs with lingonberries which was quite tasty. As a tourist I'm not sure I would go again as... More

This place is a very different during summer season and winter. During the summer the feeling is more like a bar were you hangout and drink with less focus on what you eat. During the winter season the food is usually great and the atmosphere is very different. If you get a seat at the kitchen I recommend you take... More

I had checked out several restaurants in Uppsala online before our short stay there and the website of “Restaurang Lingon” certainly looked appealing. And then the receptionist in our hotel recommended this restaurant as well. This was a Thursday evening and the place was packed with locals and visitors. Luckily we were able to get a table in the large... More

we had a business dinner in this restaurant and it was a large group.First the location which is just beautiful just near the river and whole setting is perfect and relaxed. Had artichoke soup it was of top quality and then had grilled fish with scallop and it was also good with mild flavour in dessert the chocolate cake. Every... More

Nice service and personal but wasn't amazed by the food. Loved the appetizer. Clam soup was a wow! But the Swedish meet balls was a bore. So it has potential. But it needs more like this clam appetizer to be great so go there but you pay too much for the food you get served.

Terrific place for a splurge featuring traditional Swedish cuisine -- seafood, beef, lamb all nicely prepared and presented. Setting is fantastic; seating options outdoors (with heat lamps) on a large patio just off the river, or indoors in a cozy attic-like setting -- both are great. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff (one of our party had a no-dairy restriction, and... More

I went to Lingon with my mom and sister. We each had a cider and then shared the scallop appetizer. WE LOVED THE SCALLOP APPETIZER. The meatballs were delicious. The atmosphere is everything you could ever want.
