Could have been better 3.5stars really

Nice service and personal but wasn't amazed by the food. Loved the appetizer. Clam soup was a wow! But the Swedish meet balls was a bore. So it has potential. But it needs more like this clam appetizer to be great so go there but you pay too much for the food you get served.

we had a business dinner in this restaurant and it was a large group.First the location which is just beautiful just near the river and whole setting is perfect and relaxed. Had artichoke soup it was of top quality and then had grilled fish with scallop and it was also good with mild flavour in dessert the chocolate cake. Every... More

Terrific place for a splurge featuring traditional Swedish cuisine -- seafood, beef, lamb all nicely prepared and presented. Setting is fantastic; seating options outdoors (with heat lamps) on a large patio just off the river, or indoors in a cozy attic-like setting -- both are great. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff (one of our party had a no-dairy restriction, and... More

I went to Lingon with my mom and sister. We each had a cider and then shared the scallop appetizer. WE LOVED THE SCALLOP APPETIZER. The meatballs were delicious. The atmosphere is everything you could ever want.

We had dinner with a few foreign guests looking for a traditional Swedish experience and we were not disappointed. Moose casserole, deer steak, meatballs - extremely appreciated. Assortment of Swedish cheeses for desert - a delight. Maybe a bit on the expensive side. Service was very good.

Lingon is one of our favorite restaurants in Uppsala. It serves traditional Swedish food. Swedish meatballs are a favorite of ours. As soon as it is warm enough to eat out doors under heat lamps and with a blanket on your shoulders, dinner is served in a large outdoor area next to the river. In winter, dining is inside where... Lingon has an old charm about it which has been not been changed though the interiors are quite warm and modern, so do not expect an out of the world dinning experience but it suffices your need to have a good place for a drink and food. The service is quick, nice and warm. The wine spread was also good. The... More

I've eaten inside at Lingon in winter and enjoyed the outdoor dining in summer, and the latter is preferable. Although we had to wait awhile for a table, the setting was very pleasant, and the menu seemed more extensive than in winter. Our salmon was delicious. The one thing I did not like was inadequate restroom facilities for that many... More

I've been to Lingon quite a few times and always been very pleased with both the food and the service. This time I wasn't. The service is still nice and friendly (but I miss the male waiter who's been there for years, he's the best) but my food was not very good. I had the cod with melted butter. It... More

I was a solo traveler in Uppsala for the day, and wanted to try some Swedish food at Lignon. Had the Grilled Feta + Cantarelli, a small serving of the lobster soup and grilled fish as my main. Food was delicious (especially the fish, which was perfectly done - moist in the middle, with a wonderful crust outside). 4/5 stars... More
