Lovely place

this place is a staple. You can sit at the bar, with a drink and get through some edamame. Or go straight into the restaurant and have some great food. The waiters are super friendly and happy to help you choose.

Tiny, cold, sad, tasteless dishes were all under 150 kcal yet above 150 SEK, which means more than 1 SEK per kcal. Confused, slow, uninterested staff. It is widely known that Södermalm wants to be Brooklyn, but food industry professionals at Ljunggrens can't really handle their urban herbs. RIP all the stuck-up trendy-buzzy-silly bars.

A Sunday's quick lunch meal at Ljunggren became a sad disappointment. We'v ordered a Tom Ka soup that was so sour - too much lime, that it was barely eatable. Personnel seem to be quite a bit to much blasé. Oh - a cold soup that we've ordered took about 25 minutes to serve.

The sushi here is ok, you can't really complain about the quality but I don't think it's worth the price. There are a lot of sushiplaces in Stockholm that are much better in both sushi and service. We went here on a saturday evening and the restaurant was fully booked, but that shouldn't matter. I can't see a reason to... More

Very high quality, a must for the connoisseur. Good service too. Can be quite busy. The combo platter is terrific.

Very nice restaurant in Slussen. We had sushi and temaki. I had bläckfisk (octapus) but I didn't like that very much, it was very chewy but the rest was very good.

Went with a group of friends for dinner.. The Ljunggren restaurant is located in the Sødermalm district. Had a great time with one of the best sushi I have ever tasted and the Japanese beer they serve at Ljunggren goes perfect with it! Good service from the staff. The place is popular so book a table if you want to... More

Had to wait ten minutes to get seated even with plenty of staff and many empty tables. Once seated, nobody took our order. After another 15 minutes we got up and left. This was our third visit. Service at previous evenings has been almost as bad. The food (if you get any) is pretty good, but not worth the frustration.

This was my first visit there after reading good recensions on Trip Advisor and the restaurant is mentioned in the White guide. If it was just for the food I would give a 4 but unfortunately the whole is important. We were a party of 5 nicely welcomed by the Headwaitress. We got our drinks quite fast and the correct... More

Staying in Slussen

Neighborhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
