We seated on the outdoor as the weather was very nice. The waiting staff was efficient and responsive. We ordered 2 main dishes, the meatball and the tartar steak. Nothing to say about the food, the meatballs comes with berries and the tartare with butter, nice Swedish food. We shared an almond cake which was very nice.

saturday lunch: we were not welcomed or shown to a table in a proper manner. picking up orders took too long: we were then informed why: the computer system had failed and we would have to pay cash: ok, no problem. But the waitress was so nervous and stressed by this (?), that it affected the service in an negative... More

This is the lightest version of the more important restaurant of the Opera. A good choice for a pretheatre dinner with typical swedish cuisine . Meatballs are a must.

We went here on a recommendation from a friend, and it lived up to its hype!! The meatballs were delicious and far better than any Swedish IKEA meatballs you've had! The potato purée served with lingonberry preserve is also rather scrummy!! Although on the pricey side essentially for what it is, it is worth spending the £££ if you are... More

We wanted to try Swedish food, and looked up good restaurants in the area to have it, and found this gem located in the Opera house. Very informal as it's basically a cafe with bar seating, it felt very informal but nice. We started with the herring plate which had herring prepared in a variety of different ways. I really... More

The food was great, but maybe a little bit too pricy. It was packed on a Friday evening, as it offers only 30 seats. They do not have normal tables, just an oversized bar. Quite nice.

Service is very honest - if they cannot serve you, they will tell you. The food was great - simple, delicious and presented well.

I was travelling alone on business. I was starving and it was a very cold April evening. I decided to skip all fancier options and head for Operakällarens Bakficka which was located quite close to my hotel. Luckily I had read about the not-so-nice service so I was prepared. Service was quite cold, definitely not too much smiling there... But... More

This place used to have excellent service and great Swedish food but things have changed. What a disappointment, rude and stressed staff who were only concerned about cleaning tables. The waitress snapped at me when I approached the bar table and told me to go back and wait at the door. When permitted to approach the table, no bread was... More
