I stopped by for an early dinner after visiting the Vasa museum. I came here for their Swedish meatballs but after looking at the menu decided to try their daily special which was salmon with a balsamic glaze served on a bed of sautéed cabbage and bacon. For an appetizer I had the crawfish toast. I loved the crawfish toast... More

If you want to smell like a meatball and want be treated very unfriendly after you were waiting 25 minutes patiently, this is the place to be. Unfortunately a very disappointing place!

We couldn't go home without trying Swedish meatballs and as so many had them to offer we relied on our 'Top 10 Stockholm' guide where this was placed at #1. The quaint 28 seated restaurant (the hip pocket) built a great authentic atmosphere - we chose to have our own table around the outside rather than sit at the counter.... More

The food was excellently prepared and enjoyed the many tastes of their Herring Sampler. We both had quenelles of salmon as a main and were impressed by their taste and texture. Far more delicate than we have had in North America. The "cafe" is small and has a warm atmosphere and the service style fits the place.

Cozy restaurant, really just one room with excellent service and a wonderful menu. Well-heeled older clientele. Quiet. The caviar and crayfish starters are the best I've had in Scandinavia. Portions are large, the staff will readily split servings. We've already been twice this trip, and plan to go back at least once more!

We were looking for an authentic experience and that's exactly what we got! Great service, fab food and all in a wonderful location! Settled in at the bar / table and enjoyed people watching whilst eating the nicest of meatballs and mash meals!

The outdoor terrace was not available and so we sat at the bar rather like you do in a Suchi restaurant. The meatballs (a Swedish speciality) and mash were really tasty and the service was very good. Some of our party went back later in the week and enjoyed it again. It's fun, atmospheric but the food is good, not... More

The place was operating with a restricted holiday menu (no specials), but tucked away in a quiet side street behind the opera building opposite a pretty church, this was a great lunch spot outside on a hot August day. The starters were particularly good, notably the crayfish toast, and the mixed plate of pickled herrings. Excellent bread too! But the... More

I has been here 20 years ago--and had fond memories of the place--so I decided to give it another try. No disappointment! The place is simple and it's probably best in summertime when you can sit outside at their small terrace. Servide and food are very good. I had an elegant, very abundant shrimp salad for lunch with super fresh... More

I was searching for a place in the centre of Stockholm to try out the meatballs. Having been a connoisseur of the IKEA meatballs for many years, I wanted to see what they really should be like in their homeland. Having done some searching, many locations were recommended, but all just a bit to far away for my short visit.... More
