Nice selection of typical swedish dishes, reasonable price level. Not a very interesting place to eat, but decent.

Busy little restaurant tucked in behind the opera house. We couldn't get a seat the first time we went there, so we looked at a few sights and then went back. The prices were fairly affordable for Stockholm (which I found generally quite pricey). We ate gravlax and swedish meatballs, both of which were quite good. Service was efficient and... More

A small bar-type at the back of the opera house with open kitchen. Nice and friendly service and good and tasty swedish food. We had herring for starters and kötbullar as main course. Both very tasty. Price seems to be at the high(er) side but overly expensive. Definitely worth visiting. Seating is either at the bar or at quite small... More

This is the cheaper arm of the opera restaurants, it is a small bar based restaurant that is not conducive to groups larger than two unless sitting at the bar. The service is a bit brisk, not that warm, but threw our food on the right table. The food looked like it had been served in a home kitchen, but... More

went with a swedish friend for dinner and we have herring as starter and the meatballs as mains. Both were very authentic and delicious. Worth a visit

I have never before been so rudely greeted, not once but twice. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again with the same result. Only difference was that a young friendly member of staff tried his best to find us a table and was reprimanded by and older lady staff member for doing so. Very disappointing.

Arrived early and found the place completely full. The staff was short-handed and the outside tables were not available. We split our party of four and were seated in less than ten minutes. As the patrons left, we all sat together at the bar. By the time we finished, around 21h00, the place was almost empty. The wait staff was... More

We arrived in Stockholm this morning and had all intentions of going to the old town for dinner but we were just too tired. Found this restaurant on the Frommers web site and with some diligence found it and loved it!!! It is in the same building as the opera. We ate in the bar and had a wonderful waiter.... More

This is the side-door to the famous Operakällaren. They serve authentic, traditional Swedish food (husmanskost). The Quality of food is excellent, service has somewhat of an attitude, great Swedish microbrews on tap ( did you know that this small country is the #1 export market for American craft breweries). This restaurant is a great find.
