Visited in the evening. were concerned that we hadn't booked, but walked in . Good food, especially the SOS. Great service in a tiny (28 cover) space.

Nice place with friendly staff and good local food. Beef tartar was great btw, and herring platter as well. My daughters enjoyed meatballs. So nice place for lunch!

We sat in the bar area, but the dining area looked quite inviting with overstuffed chairs and a nice ambience. The waiter suggested a very authentic Swedish meal beginning with beer, schnapps (with pomegranate) and herring appetizers. I loved the portion made for the old guys lost all their teeth. (Even though I have all my teeth, it was excellent.)... More

This is a fantastic, casual and authentic local restaurant. We ate here twice, once at the bar and once at one of the two person nook type tables around the back. The service is extremely friendly, efficient and professional. The menu is limited but full of hearty local fare. We had the steak and béarnaise sauce, the artic char, the... More

The restaurant doesn't take reservations so come early or get ready to wait for a while. The dining room is small but elegant, with few small tables for two or you can sit at the counter, nice if you like to talk with other guests. Classic swedish food well served and very tasty (herrings, salmon, meatballs) Prices are cheap (for stockholm standard!)

Returning to Stockholm for a few days, I visited this iconic restaurant for Swedish cuisine. It used to be magnificent. Herring, meatballs, isterband (traditional Swedish sausage), Caviar of Kalix, and Wallenbergare (the fluffy ground veal burger); all prepared to perfection. At this visit, the ground veal burger was thick and dense, resembling pressed fatty ham. Lacking completely in taste and... More

I came here on my second night in Sweden. This is my first time eating authentic Swedish food (aside from IKEA food). I arrived a bit early at around 6 pm and there was already a lineup. I queued for around 10 minutes before I was seated. I took the advice of my fellow trip advisor contributors and ordered the... More

I stopped by for an early dinner after visiting the Vasa museum. I came here for their Swedish meatballs but after looking at the menu decided to try their daily special which was salmon with a balsamic glaze served on a bed of sautéed cabbage and bacon. For an appetizer I had the crawfish toast. I loved the crawfish toast... More

If you want to smell like a meatball and want be treated very unfriendly after you were waiting 25 minutes patiently, this is the place to be. Unfortunately a very disappointing place!

We couldn't go home without trying Swedish meatballs and as so many had them to offer we relied on our 'Top 10 Stockholm' guide where this was placed at #1. The quaint 28 seated restaurant (the hip pocket) built a great authentic atmosphere - we chose to have our own table around the outside rather than sit at the counter.... More
