Classic Swedish dishes in a bistro environment

I had a business dinner here with people from the US. It is the perfect place to display and enjoy Swedish food. For starters, Toast Skagen, Fish roe and Pickled Herring. It was nicely served and classic taste. The main dishes the Beef Rydberg really stood out. It was the best version I have ever... read more

We had a set menu at Prinsen, a Skagen toast (shrimp) appetizer and Wallenberg main dish, both very traditional Swedish meals. The Skagen had a good amount of shrimps, but they were little small and maybe thus, little dry. We took wine-by-the-glass, my partner took Bordeaux white and I took Malbec,we were both happy with the choice. But the Wallenbergare... More

We didn't know what to expect being 4 young guys walking into an upmarket establishment. We almost didn't get in but were finally fitted downstairs (which also looks great and the place was extremely busy) it was mainly for large parties, and the atmosphere was great. The waiter set our minds at ease and was extremely attentive and friendly despite... More

Exceptional well prepared dinner in traditional surroundings where you will not have difficulties identifying the waiters. The place is small enough to make conversation possible (which is extremely important) while big enough to have a proper garderobe, kitchen, service, etc. Reasonably priced, superb food, friendly service and central location. I will be back for sure for that predictable, pleasant experience.

I asked my hotel for a recommendation on the best restaurant in Stokholm for authentic Swedish meatballs and I was asked to go here. The meatballs were simply superb; full of flavour, the quantity was ample, the taste was delicious and the meat was tender. Rarely have I eaten such good food. This and a drink for 250SEK is not... Prinsen is a charming classic restaurant. The moment you enter the place is a sense of class service and they don't disappoint.Service is top notch and detail oriented. The menu is filled with classical Swedish dishes and everything we selected was very tasty. Absolutely a wonderful eating experience.
