We received a charming welcome to this lovely-looking restaurant, and ordered traditional meatballs and fillet steak. The meatballs were superb, but be warned - the fillet steak is nothing like what one would expect to receive elsewhere in Europe! It was diced, cooked well done, and tasted very average. Stick to the traditional dishes, and expect to pay top prices... More

A bit pricy, but the food is absolutely delicious. Great option if you want to try traditional Swedish cuisine. Nice atmosphere with old school decor.

This is a classic Paris bistro with headwaiters in black and waiters in white. You're sitting very close to each other which makes the place quite loud. Dishes are based on local food and are well prepared. We have eaten bleak roe and a delicious lobster soup (little portion). Afterwards the typical kötbullar (meatballs) and (too heavy) minced veal with... More

Prinsen is a among the classic restaurants to go in Stockholm if you are looking for traditional Swedish food. The food is very good, however, it also comes at a relatively high cost. The atmosphere is unique I would say, "bistro stylish". The service is a bit snotty though which makes you feel a bit uncomfortable sometimes. All in all,... More

Warm, dark, wood panelling, professional waiters who know their stuff, and a boisterous, well-heeled crowd make for a pleasant night out. The lobster bisque really delivers the flavor. Prices are astronomical, just like everywhere else in Stocklholm.

We'd seen good reviews for Prinsen but it far exceeded our expectations. It was our first experience of the price of wine in Sweden but that didn't spoil our meal. Just had mains and dessert and everything was delicious. Service was great too.

My wife and I loved Prinsen.. Modelled on Harry's Bar in Venice so I understand.. The furnishings warm and inviting, the ambience sophisticated but not pretentious.. The food was typically Swedish with lingonberry and elk themes throughout.. Wine, as in the whole of Scandanavia was expensive but well researched. My preferred full bodied red at around £50 a bottle.. (It... More

Food was great. We had mushroom toast, toast Skagen, calf's liver and grilled halibut (hälleflundra). Service was odd. Aperitive was served with the first course. We ordered wine but first they brought us beer and after that wine was wrong. Food was very well prepared and very tasty. This is quite pricey restaurant but worth it.

One of My lunch and dinner favorites! A bit expensive but worth of every krona! Excellent service, tasty traditional Swedish food and you always get surprised how well it is prepared! Perfect place to have business lunch or dinner!
