Went on a Sunday evening. Starters good but not brilliant. Main course - very good, particularly dishes with a local Swedish cuisine flavour. Good selection of wines but prices too expensive. Desert good but not spectacular. Service - OK. Strange that by 9.00 pm restaurant was empty, but I guess this is Sweden in winter.

Elegant. Elegant food. Elegant service. Great location to do lunch or dinner, on your own or meet with people, for business or leisure. Washroom - a surprise, one impressive artsy destination.

Classic old fashion Swedish restaurant serving really great traditional Swedish food. The prices are not the cheapest but the food is good. The place is a little bit posh but smiles and comments make the waiters calm down and increase the service level. One of the classic places that can be a must of Stockholm in a strange way. It... Prinsen is located near the Mushroom. Old 2 story building where busy nights may not have seats available. We had a big group of 6. We had starters of bleak roe (tasty), toasts skogen, and reindeer meat. The braised ox cheek was awesome. Good wine selection but costly. Worth a visit.

Prinsen is downtown and easy to get to (eg hotels/dinner, shopping/lunch). The interior is as it has been for ages, and so is the menu - fortunately! The traditional Swedish dishes are just great. The food comes pretty quickly which I love. The absolutely worst thing with this Place is the service. Apparently if you are not and old guest... More

The old bistro is located in the centre of Stockholm and is very cosy. The selection of plates is reasonable as well as the price/quality relation (by Stockholm standards). I recommend the restaurant mainly for the period between September and mid April when usually the weather is not good or it is cold. You enter and immediately begin to feel... More

perfect restaurant with old world service. Went here for a lunch date, and felt very well attended to. The doorman even remembered me when I returned.

The food at this restaurant was very nice. The prices are a little on the high side but it is worth it. The restaurant is in a nice location. The service was a little slow but we didn't mind too much as we were on holiday. The tables are quite close together so you can't help but listen to the... More

Stockholm's living room, the place to meet people, a great bar in the basement and a cosy restaurant on street level. Real Swedish food, hipsters on the table next to you, lovely wines and a well-prepared dry martini (gin, stirred, no ice, slice of lemon). In Prinsen you can hear the voice of a lively city.

We received a charming welcome to this lovely-looking restaurant, and ordered traditional meatballs and fillet steak. The meatballs were superb, but be warned - the fillet steak is nothing like what one would expect to receive elsewhere in Europe! It was diced, cooked well done, and tasted very average. Stick to the traditional dishes, and expect to pay top prices... More
