My wife and I loved Prinsen.. Modelled on Harry's Bar in Venice so I understand.. The furnishings warm and inviting, the ambience sophisticated but not pretentious.. The food was typically Swedish with lingonberry and elk themes throughout.. Wine, as in the whole of Scandanavia was expensive but well researched. My preferred full bodied red at around £50 a bottle.. (It... More

Food was great. We had mushroom toast, toast Skagen, calf's liver and grilled halibut (hälleflundra). Service was odd. Aperitive was served with the first course. We ordered wine but first they brought us beer and after that wine was wrong. Food was very well prepared and very tasty. This is quite pricey restaurant but worth it.

One of My lunch and dinner favorites! A bit expensive but worth of every krona! Excellent service, tasty traditional Swedish food and you always get surprised how well it is prepared! Perfect place to have business lunch or dinner!

I just left this restaurant in a huff. Absolutely awful service. One of the worst I've received and I have eaten in many places worldwide. My table had no bread, and other tables did, and the waitress didn't even come to take my order despite other tables coming much later, receiving their drinks and their food orders taken. It has... The food is really good! Try the Swedish "husmanskost" and you won't be disappointed. The only thing I didn't like so much was the attitude of the waiters. They weren't that friendly and seemed kind of disappointed with life. I didn't feel that welcome that's all. But the food leveled that out.

For our last evening in Stockholm before our cruise, we wanted to go to a restaurant that was a classic Swedish cuisine establishment. Our hotel recommended Prinsen, and it was a very good choice. It is a traditional establishment with rustic charm and on our evening was extremely busy. We had made a reservation long before our arrival in Stockholm... More

This restaurant is bigger than you think. We pitched up relatively late (by Brit standards) about 9.30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was still relatively busy and more people arrived after us. Lots of locals but the staff spoke excellent English and there was English translations in the menus. Good choice of dishes across the menu, I actually had... More

This restaurant, in an upmarket area, was recommended to us by the hotel We arrived without a reservation, and we were seated without delay but I would recommend you book for ease. Staff were very helpful. Home made bread arrived on a spike and was tasty. Swedish meatballs came with traditional lingonberries. The meal was excellent, couldn't fault it. Great... More
