In some ways Aifur reminds me of some of the classic New Orleans restaurants...... you don't choose who your party is going to be seated with. This has positives in that you get to meet people from different cultures/countries and negatives because you might get seated with people from around the... read more

The atmosphere was real viking-style. However, all other stuff were not good. Portions are small and untasty, plate is very greasy, dessert was too sweet. Waitress couldn't even say "thank you" after paying the bill (which was very high - prices are unreasonably high also) and giving some tip as well: she just grab the money and left. To summarize,... We chose this place based on the reviews on this site. It is tough to find, and dont trust apple or google maps. Keep walking and it is down the stairs on the right as you go slightly downhill. First walking in, the decor is amazing, and I knew that the "introduction" was coming. My wife was slightly surprised. I... More

We booked this restaurant for a bit of fun on a Saturday night as part of a weekend break. It was certainly an experience and, on balance, worth doing, although probably not as a regular thing as it plays heavily on novelty value and I could see this wearing off after a while. The concept is good: an underground Viking/Scandi... More

My sons and I were eager to visit Aifur Krog, but we were kind of underwhelmed by our visit. The place looked very cool and the food (we all had the dwarf chicken) was pretty good. However, the place was mostly empty, there was no music and the staff was sort of indifferent. I expected more atmosphere and I thought... More

We were there on a Friday night so the place was actually bustling with many locals having quite rowdy parties. Yes, as you enter, you will be announced and everyone will thunderously welcome you. This place is quite loud and hot, but the food was actually better than expected. We both had Mead (different kinds to chose from and if... More

This place was simply unique. The interior really gave you a feel of what it was like to dine like a Viking! Food was good. We had the deer which was cooked nicely. Try their homemade beer which was also pretty good. The place can be a little warm if you sit upfront of the candles. Mains cost around sek... More

If we would not have been hailed by one the staff dressed like a viking at the entrance, we might have missed the place. For a unique and original diner, just try it : the atmosphere, the food, the dishes, the decoration, the waiters/waitresses all is 'authentic medieval style'. Don't expect to come in 'incognito' indeed your name will be... More

This is clearly a place for atmosphere, with each guest announced. Lots of communal tables. Service was good, so, too, was the food. Better for a party group, not for a quiet dinner.

Yesterday we had dinner at this themed restaurant: the food was good (we tried out moose and reindeer sausages) and the staff very friendly. Also the viking setting is very suggestive but still this restaurant didn't blow my mind. First, my wife and me, after making a reservation, hope to have a table all for us instead here they just...
