Our party of five girlfriends had just arrived in Stockholm and were wandering around looking for a nice spot when we found this gem. Our first taste of "traditional Swedish food." I had potato pancakes and one friend had Swedish meatballs. They were well prepared and were delicious! And we shared a dessert that was a sponge cake with lemon... More

Spotted in passing as we wandered through Gamla Stan, this restaurant is under the radar of most guide sites and all the better for that. So impressed by the food, and by attention to service (thank you Rebecca!) were we that we we returned for a second evening dinner. Cool and shady outside tables but try for an indoor table... More

Gamla Stan is an expensive area but this place that is not located in a very busy road offers good food for reasonable prices. The atmosphere and the service were very good. It took quiet a long time for the main dishes, even though at that time the restaurant was not very busy. For around 65 euros we had 2... More

In the old town of Stockholm there are many, many places to eat. Most of them for a quick bite and most of them just for tourists who never come back. This is the exception, a bit off the beaten track you'll find this place under/behind the big tree. This place is perfect for breakfast or lunch, not too much... More

We never tried the place for dinner but it was great for breakfast. we shared one breakfast and added an oj for two of us for about $13, a true bargain for Stockholm. Very friendly staff and a nice room with three outside tables. Highly recommended!!

We found this place by accident in the old town/Gamla Stan. It sits on a square with a large chestnut (Kastanjen) tree and has a lovely terrace on the square. We were just 15 minutes late for breakfast, which stops being served after 11. But they still had some cheese sandwiches left and we combined those with a large slice... More

We were strolling around old town when we saw this cute little restaurant / tea parlor. We went in, attracted by the setting and cuteness of the place. it is a friendly place where you will not be served or where there is an elaborated menu. You queue to order either breakfast, cakes or the meal of the day, which... More

I had read about this place on a website for dog owners so I wanted to try it on a Sunday morning walk. They opened at 09:00 and we all ordered the large breakfast. We sat inside in one of the smaller rooms (where dogs were allowed). They even gave the dog his own water bowl. The food was expensive... More

This was a delightful place that we just bumped into in Old Town of Stockholm. A beautiful place just in a quiet square with a chestnut tree. We enjoyed the midsommar tallrik lunch, meaning that we had the midsummer lunch on a plate, providing samples of the typical dishes people enjoy in Sweden at midsummer. These include new potatoes, sill... More

We had the Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and the spinach lasagne. The lasagne had a hint of truffles just the right amount. Both were delicious. The beer and wine was very good.
