We decided to visit the Skansen open-air museum. We took the number 7 tram and arrived at lunchtime, so food was priority number one. We immediately noticed Lilla Hasselbacken on getting down from the tram. We made a beeline for the restaurant, although I must admit my first impression was "it looks expensive". I was wrong, as at lunchtime there... More

So, we got to Vasa museum, ran around town and got quite tired. All we wanted was a good food and some warm place. Be aware - they have a small summer terrace without working radiators, so it's very cold there. We ordered 2 different meals. Herring was good, but my meat was not - it was cold, soggy and...... Awkward place. Feel some kind of robbed by the staff. Don't forget your swedish crows. Paying with euros actually cost me ?6.- for one simple cup of coffee!

We went to the restaurant after a day in the Skansen park. The place was pretty quiet and looked ... 'interesting'. The furniture is somewhat unmatched, lots of pictures on the wall of all sorts and the 'boss' was wearing a Hawaii shirt. The menu was limited but presented in a dozen languages and the food was actually very good.... More

Do not visit this place. We visited around 1 pm and they was sold out for almost everything on the lunch meny. I ended up with a really boring hamburger (hamburger without cheese and fries). I could pick up some salad in the "salad bar" inside. There was some bowls who was placed on a table with salat, tomatoes and... More

Stopped here or lunch after a morning visit to Skansen. Lots of choices for their 125kr lunch special. We chose the meatballs with mashed potatoes, cream gravy and lingonberries. Lunch included a variety of salad bar choices, lingonberry juice or lemonade, coffee or tea. This hit the spot! Easily the best meal we have had for a while....a nice change... More

Lilla Hasselbacken is located in Djurgården area of Stockholm, across the street from Skahsen and around the corner from Grana Lund amusement park. It is a multi-level building, with patio dining, and two indoor areas - a cafeteria and a sit-down restaurant. The sit-down part has only about four meal choices, and they are quite expensive, particularly for lunch when... More
