You can savour Agaton's well prepared meat and fish dishes in a warm, pleasant environment with a Mediterranean atmosphere. The menu also features a host of pasta dishes and excellent pizzas served direct from the oven. Choose from other Italian specialties, such as: zuppa di pomodori e chilli con risoni (tomato and chilli soup with risoni served with parmesan and basil cream); pasta ai frutti di mare (fresh pasta with mussels, scampi, squid, garlic and white wine and tomato sauce); as well as splendid desserts such as mousse di cioccolata con fragole e Grand Marnier (chocolate mousse with strawberries dipped in Grand Marnier).

Very bad service

Terrible long time to bring us our food. When asked why I was told they had to first serve another huge grow (which came after us) before we would be served. The food was good but the wait was awful.

I would come back here just for the dessert - the raspberry cheesecake. What a piece of heaven, seriously the best cheesecake I ever had (And trust me, I've had a few!) Next to that, the atmosphere is good, the staff very friendly and the kitchen great as they made my boyfriend (who's lactose intolerant) a great reindeer dish. The... More

I did not have very high expectations when entering the Agaton in Gamla Stan in Stockholm, it seemed as a tourist trap, with quite tasteless interior and a person i the door that agitated the place for people passing by. But the food was far better than I feared, and I will definitely go back another time to check out... More

I should have gone by my instinct!!! Yes the restaurant was busy and one would assume the place was good as a result. We had a member of staff come outside to get us to come in, which from my past experience I would have run a mile. But we were all very hungry so just went along. When we... More

We try never to eat in the same place twice on holiday, but we couldn't help it with this place - the service was so nice and the food really good - along with the atmosphere and friendly welcome i would definitely return and recommend. We shared a pizza the first time we went - which was really fresh and... More

Lovely and lively restaurant in the heart of Gamla Stan in Stockholm. We liked Agaton so much that we had dinner there two days in a row. Great mix of Italian classics and Swedish ingredients. Pizza Nordica is a must try! Reindeer and lingonberry (arctic-tundra berry) on a pizza?! It was a feast! Other must try is the seafood pasta.... More

We met here for a business dinner on a late Monday evening where most other places were already closing. We were very happy with the good which was all above our expectations. For good Italian style good this place is well chosen. The service was very good as well. Prices are a bit high, but for the area they are... More

Had a lovely, tasty, lunch at this cozy italian restaurant. Their freshly baked home made bread with salad buffet was super delicious as well as the quattro stagioni pizza with fresh tasty mussels. Recommend to try! Crowdy at lunch hour but the service was yet friendly. Enjoyed!

As many other we were greeted by charm at the door. Food (we choose pizza) was so so. Cola was half ice.. We were there at lunch time.
