Hej från Frankrike

A restaurant with a nice atmosphere in a good place. The pizza are goot but not tremendous. A warm welcome from the personnel but a bit insistent when they suggest you to give tip. During summer 2014

We ate here in our first night in Stockholm and the food was delicious, great atmosphere and great red house wine.

One of those places where you feel like they are targeted to make you spend. We only had a pizza each, base was really hard to cut into and therefore not great. Won't be back, so many nicer places to eat.

We dropped in for lunch, it wasn't very busy and there were free tables. We have ordered two mushroom soups for kids, hubby took the rests' special seafood soup and I took meat from the special offer, which was rather cheap. The waiter proposed us to have their bread with garlic butter while we wait, we agreed, and she brought... More

Nice place to have an Italian meal. You're in the centre of the Old Stockholm, and there are so mant restaurants which makes quite diffucult to find the good ones. But Agaton is interesting in prce quality. Staff is friendly and you don't have to wait long. I'll go back, I guess

This might be in the middle of the tourist central but the food here was simply excellent, especially as it was also not that expensive. Service was also great. I would definitely recommend you visit this restaurant if you want good Italian food.

Ok. So. Yes I saw the poor reviews. That's what I look at first when traveling and hungry! Well that was just mean, angry, almost human beings - that don't have taste buds. And those horrible people almost kept me from eating at this delicious restaurant. But Anasse the manager, gave us incredible service and attention. The evening started with... More

We popped by for dinner at Agaton after it was recommended to us by a friend. We just ordered some pizza, which was delicious. Service was efficient and nice. We highly recommend the reindeer lingonberry pizza -something you can't order anywhere else!

Not many restaurants were open in Stockholm Old Town on a cold late December Monday evening, however, the Agaton was happy to accommodate four of us just after 9:30 pm. The food arrived quickly, but was fresh and well cooked. We had pizzas, caesar salad and tortellini, all of which were very good and nicely presented. The restaurant was quiet... More

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
