Five Small Houses you will find in the heart of Old Town, just off St. George and the Dragon. You are welcomed into a superb restaurant, which is made up of nine beautiful arches. These extend over five house, hence the name of the restaurant. There is also a modern conference room and lounges that are often used as function rooms On the menu you can always find dishes like herring, cured salmon, fillet of reindeer and a cloudberry dessert. Our parade course fillet´t of veal Anna Lindberg, it is served with morel sauce and potato gratin. It is also possible to organize wine tastings as related to conferences or as completely separate events.

Refined Swedish Cuisine in a Delightful Setting

Although having quite a large capacity (apparently around 240) the restaurant consists of multiple small rooms on several subterranean levels, each oozing character, so you have the impression of being in a relatively small restaurant steeped in history and tradition. Although having quite a large capacity (apparently around 240) the restaurant consists of multiple small rooms on several subterranean levels, each oozing character, so you have the impression of being in a relatively small restaurant steeped in history and tradition. We were seated in an ancient, brick-walled, arched cellar (apparently one-time coal-cellar! ) several levels down from the entrance. Delightfully... More

You may have to do some stairs, but after the meal you have, you won't mind. Great fine dining. Experienced wait staff. I had the Elk starter and the Atlantic Char, both wonderfully prepared. Literally translated as Five Small Houses, you might find yourself in any one of five dining areas each with its own character.

Best meatballs in town! Served with mashed potatoes and sweet berries. We ate outside on the street and enjoyed the view of old town.

This restaurant he been recommended by friends no as written up in the guide books. We did have an excellent meal in a lovely setting. The service was excellent and the. Food delicious. My only comment is that the tables were too close together. We would preferred not tobe so close to out fellow diners. Overall a great place.

I have eaten at Fem Sma Hus several times . On most recent trip to stockholm, we stopped in the lounge for a glass of wine. Waitress/hostess was visibly perturbed we were there, would not answer basic questions ( do you have a dry rose' ?) and stalked away without serving us. It was truly one of the worst experiences... If I were in Stockholm for one day only, this would be the one place to have dinner. Not only is the restaurant located in a modernized but charmingly grotto-like, 5 level, multi-dining room that dates to the 1600's (!!!) And somehow seats 240 people (as the wait staff informed us) but the food is absolutely first rate. Try the... More

Fabulous location. Memorable underground space. Food was traditional Swedish. Best vertical of chateau Latour I've ever seen. Good food, not great.

My partner and I had booked a table via Trip Advisor for a Friday evening here. The restaurant is charming and quaint despite its enormity. However, I was disappointed at how close together the tables were. We'd chosen this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to have a romantic meal. There was only a space of a few inches... More

This was our third restaurant of our stay , the previous 2 had been 2* and 1* michelin restaurants . We were a little worried as it is a touristy place , but it is an amazing setting , looks tiny but is in fact really large . The menu was very Swedish , which we were looking for ,... More
