We arrived without a reservation and since the interior was full we were immediately seated on the small patio. We both ordered two appetizers and no main course. They were all well prepared, well seasoned and well served. The server made sure we always had water and bread as well. Would definitely recommend.

This is our first visit to Stockholm and, after touring and enjoying the old city, we wanted a genuine Swedish meal. The front desk recommended this one and after seeing that it was #10 out of almost 2,000 restaurants we decided to go. Located in the old part of the city, we were escorted down several levels to one of... More

On our last evening in Stockholm, we had persuaded our Swedish host to make a reservation at Fem Sma Hus which we had often walked past in Stockholm's Old Town. It was not a disappointment in any sense. We were warmly greeted and taken to a nice table and immediately offered delicious bread. The menu is certainly not cheap but... More

Dining at Fem Sma Hus (Five Little Houses) was an outstanding experience! It is located in historic Gamia Stan and the rooms are warm and cozy. The menu is a bit limited but our waitress was helpful. Two of us had the rib eye steak and it was the best we have ever eaten!!! We all enjoyed the cloudberry desert.... More

...to dine here. What a delightful evening! Set in an historically charming building (complex), try to go early enough to explore all of the restaurant. That alone is worth the visit....but the food, service and desire to please the customers were all most impressive. The menu (check it online) while small provides excellent options, any of which will be pleasing.... More

Lovely, elegant restaurant in a unique setting in Gamla Stan. My husband had the char, and I had the reindeer. Both were excellent. We had appetizers, dessert, and wine. Pricey? Yes ,but well worth it for the very enjoyable surroundings and experience. Our waiter was so very professional and very nice -- his attention to detail added to the enjoyment... More

We enjoyed our dinner, a great experience helped by excellent and pleasant service from the wait staff. The restaurant seems to be a warren of basement rooms beneath the "five small houses" from which it takes its name, although I was not able to explore beyond the one in which we were seated. For dinner, I had the salmon appetizer,... More

Stopped here on a whim for an early dinner and sat outside to people-watch. Had the char and the reindeer, both very good.
