We have been to this restaurant on a Sunday evening and we loved it. The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxed and we ended up having a great time. We booked a table just a hour before through our hotel and it wasn't too crowded (maybe because it was a Sunday). The food was great (I particularly enjoyed the rendeer... More

Despite all the advertisements, and all the appearance of being quite a commercial establishment, I still found the experience unique and amazing. We were led through stair and tunnels to reach our cosy cellar sitting. Service was efficient and friendly and food is delicious. Although the menu was rather limited, but everything that we ate were good. We had seafood,... More

Nygrand is a narrow alley and Fem Sma Hus is on the corner with the more picturesque and less crowded main street through the old town of Stockholm. The restaurant is an incredible series of interconnected cellars - we were professionally installed at a lovely table under the vaults. With its location and features, this cannot be but a tourist... Recommended by our hotel ...... a very good recommendation. Staff made us feel very welcome. Led us through the menu with helpful suggestions. Food was really nice. Chose to eat outside .... maybe regretted it as we didn't experience the ambience of the main restaurant inside .... looked at the website afterwards !

The restaurant is quite a labyrinth. I think we ate in a sub-sub cellar. The service was excellent, and the food superb. It's quite pricey - but I don't have many points to compare with in Stockholm. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A really charming rabbit warren of rooms. Very old established. I have been here on a number of visits over the last 25 years. Always great. We had one of the "set" menus which are slightly cheaper than their constituent parts - but same size portions and no problem in changing one of the starters for something else I fancied... More

My wife and I ate at Fem Sma Hus (Five Small Rooms) on a recent visit to Stockholm. A really charming place, well below street level in the Gamla Stan (Old Town) neighborhood. Enjoyed our halibut and steak entrees, along with the service and atmosphere. As usual in Stockholm, bring your credit card, but enjoy yourself.

As its name suggests five interconnected medieval houses form this very diverse gastronomic space which is charming and unusual. The cooking is excellent throughout and the wine list very good indeed. The experience can differ according to which part of the restaurant your table is in, but it only adds to the appeal.

Loved the food. It's the kind of meal that you remember for a long time, maybe years and just wasn't to have again and again.
