Oh, we love Sten Sture. We visit Stockholm every year and our visit wouldn't be complete without a visit to Sten Sture for shrimp soup. Not only is the food delicious, the staff is delightful.

I loved the coziness of the place. i commend the servers. they were very friendly to us and very accommodating. much of it, i enjoyed and loved the food and the history that came with it. i will surely go back to this restaurant if i happen to visit Sweden again.
Ordered "homemade" lasagna but I received a industrial processed lasagna directly from a microwave owen. Worst lunch off all summer!
upon returning to the cruise ship after a day of exploring on our own, we talked with travel mates who took a guided tour and were only told about this now restaurant with so much history. Little did we know at the time of our lunch the rich history we learned about over dinner.
I liked it so much that I had dinner there two times. The service is sympa and the prices very affordable (which is not often the case, in Stockholm). The atmosphere was good and... More
At the entrance the restaurant says that they don't accept credit cards and that they accept euros. When we wanted to pay for a 380k account they said that in euros it was 50euros... !! Absolutely unfair, when the real exchange was 44 euros. The food was not that good ... Not coming back...!

A very affordable place to eat and/or have a nice dessert in a breath-taking historical building with its own inimitable atmosphere. The building... More
We stopped at Café Sten Sture for fika while visiting Gamla Stan. It’s definitely a unique location and one that makes it feel like you’re still touring and taking in the history of Stockholm even while you’re taking a break. The steps leading down to the café are pretty steep so watch your step.
