Searching for Swedish mestballs?

Very cozy and delicious food. Prices are ok. We had the typical meatballs with cram erry sauce, cream and smashed potatoes, it was very nice. Also a place for drinks and taoas.

Always well-cooked food and very nice staff. A good place for lunch or dinner but they also have special events, like "surströmming" (sour herring) one day every August and at Christmas season they have a wonderful "lutfisk" .

Good choice for a relaxed dinner in good atmosphere. Traditional sweddish dishes plus something special like game or smth. Good choice of draft beers but too too pricy...

Great food, had the Salmon with creamy potatoes, perfect for brunch. A bit tight in respect to the seating, but the place was quite charming and the menu contains a lot of traditional Swedish dishes. Really recommend it when visiting Stockholm!

This is a labyrinthine restaurant with great staff and is very busy (and noisy). Good, well-cooked food and candles and warm wood everywhere. Little bars dotted about to for a pre-dinner drink. It struck we as maybe typically Swedish but I' m not Swedish so take that with a pinch of salt. Some of my party had eaten there as... More

A restaurant with over 100 year history. Charming older interior with ripe serving staff. Serving older tradional Swedish dishes as well as new. Good selection of beer and wine.

Good food and beer. The service was a little slow however we were happy to wait since the beer and the atmosphere were so good. We were surprised on the way in to have out coats taken from us despite saying we preferred to keep them. We were even more surprised to be charged 15 SEKs each to get them... More

We booked this restaurant on the basis of the trip advisor reviews. I am afraid you let me down this time TA! I could not fault the food, swedish meatballs and the Tennstopet chocolate cake was very nice. Unfortunately we really did not enjoy the evening. The service was so unfriendly, not one single smile or pleasant word from the... More

Nice traditional Swedish restaurant with nothing fancy. If your looking for simple and uncomplicated, this is it with food even kids will enjoy.

Pure and real is my description of this place. It starts when you come in, the welcome is warm and well meant. The atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed. The service at the table is nice and very good informed about the menu and the ingredients. They know what they talk about (where can you find that these days?). The... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
