Tennstopet has a laid back atmosphere and the food is really good. I can recommend classical Swedish dishes as herring and "Skagenröra"

This place has character. Seemed like we were spelunking getting to our table in the depths of the restaurant, winding through different rooms and hallways, ducking as we went. But, that made the experience all the better. We spent a few hours here with another couple, taking our time enjoying multiple courses. Each item was prepared to perfection. The meal... More

Stepped in on my way to a meeting to get some Salmon and dill potatoes. The restaurant itself, the service and the food was completely without fault. Not the cheapest place and maybe not able to knock down my favourite place for the above dish, but still worth a visit by all means.

Spent a night in the pub section, i.e. did only drink and not eat. Traditional dark wood setting, friendly staff and an excellent stout that is not seen often; Marston's Oyster Stout

We were looking for Swedish cuisine and we found it at Tennstopet. With an old pub feel, the service was great and the fits even better. You should definitely have the meatballs with ligonberries, they were delicious!

While visiting Stockholm we connected with a distant cousin who took us to Tennstopet for home style Swedish cooking. Our maternal grandmother was a Swedish immigrant and her Swedish meatballs were a family favorite. So we ordered the Swedish meatballs with mashed potatos and fresh ligonberries along with a local draft beer. The meal brought back great memories and tasted... More

Arrived late a Friday afternoon and was not expecting to get a table. They organised a table for one in a crowded place and served me smoth and quickly a fantastic meal. Nice atmosphere and a lot of locals both young and old taking their Friday out. Obviously a popular place to hang out or go for a dinner. Recommend... More

As one of Stockholm oldest restaurants not a lot has changed over the years. They serve classic Swedish food, the prices were reasonable for Stockholm.

This is always a safe bet for good classic Swedish dishes,in the bar area which is informal or the restaurant area, the food and service is of the best in the city.We had graved lax with dill potatoes, one of their specialities ,and we were not disappointed. The only negative thing, they charge 20 kr per coat to hang on a hook.

This is a good "local pub" in an area of the city that most tourists have no idea about. Genuine sensibly priced basic food and nice beer selection.
