Description: From market trader to purveyor to His Majesty the King.It all began in 1926. Fisherman’s daughter Lisa Elmqvist traded her wares at a street market by the waterfront, and customers quickly flocked to her stall. Her fish, shellfish and cookery skills were of such a high standard that she swiftly moved up to Östermalms Saluhall, built in 1888 – the perfect place to allow her ability to shine through. Today, more than 85 years later, the fourth generation of the Elmqvist family continues her work assiduously from the same stall, gaining more and more experience and ambitions. In the food hall the name of Lisa Elmqvist represents a fish stall and restaurant with a unique know-how and an inherited sense of the delicacies of the sea. Here you can shop for, or be served, the very finest fresh fish and shellfish – as well as ready-made dishes and delicacies from our own kitchen. There is also a well-stocked wine bar.Large parties for between 20 and 500 guests are arranged in the midst of the hall’s century-old food tradition. Our Catering team provides a complete service at all levels, with experienced personnel and the best from Lisa’s extensive menu – prepared, decorated and served wherever required.

The gastronomic panorama in Stockholm has improved enormously in the last decade. There are a number of fashionable restaurants that come and go. However, Lisa Elmqvist remains as a very solid proposition Excellent fish and seafood, very nice service and an excellent atmosphere in this very posh market that is the Saluhallen We had the plate of delicatessen as starter... Having visited the Hotorgshallen we were keen to try the Ostermalmshallen and to eat at this restaurant. We arrived at midday on a Saturday and were able to sit at the bar. Every seated place was hotly contested. We had a light lunch of white wine and toast Skagen, the quality of the ingredients and service were both fantastic and... More

This restaurant is always a must for us when in Stockholm. We have visited it so many times but never get tired with it. Their skagenrora is simply perfect. Try it! Service is relaxed and polite. There is one lady who has worked there for ages. Must be a good place to work. Always highly recommended.

During my 30 hour stay in Stockholm, I stopped by the Ostermalms Saluhall to have lunch at Lisa Elmqvist. Needless to say, I left more than satisfied. Though on the pricier side, it's worth the splurge to try something on the menu. I had the toast skagen, which is shrimp with dill and mayonnaise topped with bleak roe and served... More

It may also be a great place for other meals, but we went there with a relative who lives locally at lunch time. We all had the fish soup, which was a large bowl, with free additional shellfish, and was excellent and at SEK95 pretty fair value. You help yourself to free bread, crisp-bread and 'salad' (aka lettuce). Add a... More

Went there on corporate invitation. One of my favorite Seafood restaurant in Europe and definitely my #1 in Scandinavia. All perfect and obviously coming at a price but not in outter-space... Great place for business lunch or between friends.

My must go to place for lunch every time i visit Stockholm. Expect to line up for a table, but trust me its worth it. Having the classic and authentic real being located in the "salu hall", its almost like time travel. Back to the food, the cod i had blew me away, and so did the seafood platter. Freshness... More

In the inner market SaluHall you can find this nice restaurant which serves fresh fish. It's fantastic that you can choose fresh fish that they will cook it for you. I ordered the fish soup served with garlic bread and it was really nice!

Very much part of the foodhall market in Stockholm (which is an experience in itself) this restaurant has grown up around the original fresh fish counter of Lisa Elmqvist. The fish counter is still there but the restaurant is rapidly expanding to take over one corner of the market. No bookings , so you have to queue. Our hotel concierge... More
