Description: From market trader to purveyor to His Majesty the King.It all began in 1926. Fisherman’s daughter Lisa Elmqvist traded her wares at a street market by the waterfront, and customers quickly flocked to her stall. Her fish, shellfish and cookery skills were of such a high standard that she swiftly moved up to Östermalms Saluhall, built in 1888 – the perfect place to allow her ability to shine through. Today, more than 85 years later, the fourth generation of the Elmqvist family continues her work assiduously from the same stall, gaining more and more experience and ambitions. In the food hall the name of Lisa Elmqvist represents a fish stall and restaurant with a unique know-how and an inherited sense of the delicacies of the sea. Here you can shop for, or be served, the very finest fresh fish and shellfish – as well as ready-made dishes and delicacies from our own kitchen. There is also a well-stocked wine bar.Large parties for between 20 and 500 guests are arranged in the midst of the hall’s century-old food tradition. Our Catering team provides a complete service at all levels, with experienced personnel and the best from Lisa’s extensive menu – prepared, decorated and served wherever required.

The largest selection of fresh seafood I have seen. It's in Saluhall, the public market; only open for brunch and lunch. Wonderful seafood; good service. On Saturdays it is very crowded and long waits. (Long wait for the restrooms also.) We were there twice...wish we could have gone back for more.

This is a highly rated restaurant with a very high turnover and excellent reputation. Four of us ordered lobster and what we each received were 6 small little shrimp size portions which were almost impossible to open and which fitted easily onto half a slice of bread. It was expensive and ordinary. There was meat available in the pincers but... More

My wife and I went here for a dinner date, mostly because I love seafood. She likes some of it, but is limited because of allergys and just doesn't eat a lot of fish. They were out of a couple of the entries she would eat and she said she would just have a dessert. Our waitress wouldn't let it... More

This restaurant is located all the way in the back of the Saluhall. Interesting walk through to reach it; you'll pass many bakeries, delis and gift shops on the way. Samples galore. Lisa's was packed at lunchtime, but the wait was short. Communal dining; we shared a table with a couple visiting from London My wife had a wonderful whole... More

The restaurant is in the Saluhall food market and should not be missed. Even though it is in a market, it is a first class table linen restaurant. We have been dining here for 20 years and always look forward to returning. The restaurant also owns one of the fish stores in the market so the fish is very fresh.

While visiting the food hall of Stockholm, we spotted the restaurant "Lisa Elmqvist" . We check with trip advisor and since it was highly scored, we decided to book a table . The first surprise we had was that we were placed to sit at a table with another 4 people . What surprised next was the arrogance of the... More

Tastebuds in heaven. No other way of putting it. One of the best Salmon tartare's I have ever had in my life and outstanding fish mains. So absolutely, unbelievably fresh. I almost want to go back to Stockholm to eat here again. Please note that it's closed on sundays which caused a huge heartbreak for my wife who wasn't with... More

Situated in the wonderful Saluhall market this Swedish Seafood restaurant is a pure delight. Reservations via their website are easy to make and from the queue today essential. In addition to a range of options there are daily specials. We tried the fish soup and avocado with prawn - both exceptional. Wine as usual was expensive but balanced by the... More

Have been to this seafood restaurant inside Östermalms Saluhall severla times and it has never disappointed. Fish and seafood are as fresh as you can find. Portions are good size and show Swedish cooking at its best. Not cheap but well worth the cost. Try Toast Skagen with a glass of white wine and enjoy!

Had an amazing lunch here with my fiancé and a friend of ours. We spent 4 nights in Stockholm during our summer holiday and a visit to Östermalmshallen and Lisa Elmqvist's is for me a must every time I am in Stockholm. The mix between great Swedish sea food, good, pleasant service and amazing atmosphere is an unbeatable recipe for... More
