I love this place

This isn't the best restaurant you'll ever go to, and it certainly isn't the cheapest. But it's unpretentious, authentic and a true neighbourhood restaurant that happens to have been serving its neighbourhood for centuries. I used to live round the corner, and I go here more or less every time I'm... read more

Great food! If your travelling on a budget probably not the place to go as you will easily spend 500kr each (beer starts 65k!) However, if you fancy eating at a local restaurant tasting the local cuisine I would definitely recommend. Try the meatballs!

After having many recommendations from friends as well as "top 10 stockholm" book to try this restaurant we thought why not. Booked a table for 9pm as that's when they could fit in a table For 2. Sounded good- busy must mean good?!? We were seated at 9pm and greeted with a less than friendly waitress but we weren't concerned.... More

This place was fun - it was like eating in the Sweden of old. I had Swedish Meatballs, basically because we have been hearing about them in the States since we were kids. They were great - very different from ours - more savory than Italian meatballs. My friend had the raw fish (Herring) prepared four ways and my other... More

We were there or there abouts and found this place on Tripadvisor! WOW.... Cost us about 90 pounds for drinks, a shared stater and a main each. Might not be the cheapist place around but its the first time a mean made me happy, Hearing 4 ways / Raindear with Game Sausage / Arctic Char ..... Worth every penny! EAT... More

We really didn't plan to eat here, we just went for a drink and snack. We had a beer and app. The SOS was great, at least 3 out of 4. I'm not sure what the combos were but generally the service seemed very good as well as the atmosphere.

On the menu they say "Risotto with Karl Johan-mushroom". This is a great, tasty and pretty expensive type of mushroom. Problem is that the mushroom they serve is a regular cheap boring mushroom. I asked the waitress and with a shamefull voice he said this is how it is done sadly. And for 195 kr this is a robbery! Really... More

I went there with some friends and we ate grilled reindeer. The place is not so cheap, but it's definitely worthy every cent, dishes are well prepared and quite big. A plus is given by local draft beers. I recommend it.

The reviews on here aren't wrong, this restaurant does do the best Swedish meatballs in Stockholm. The other meals on the menu sounded equally good, but I couldn't resist. Managed to squeeze in Chocolate Terrine with raspberry ice-cream dessert, which was total heaven and a perfect end to a great meal. Well worth a visit Staff were so amazingly kind,... More

Took my wife while visiting Stockholm, per recommendation from a guy who worked at our hotel (not a concierge type, more a local). We had spent the past couple of nights in Old Town (Gamla Stan) and wanted to explore more of the local area away from tourists. I must add though, having traveled a number of countries and areas...
