A local recommended this restaurant for typical Swedish fare. Food was typical enough though a little heavy on the butter (we had the cod, reindeer and pork knuckles). Service was curt and the wait staff impersonal and unsmiling. We have had much better food and service elsewhere in Sweden.

Having lived in Sthlm for several years I had tro try this classic restaurant. On the positive side the interior is lovely and the service is fast, although not that friendly. The food and the prices are what brings the score down. The food is really simple and some of the courses are, quite frankly, badly prepared. We left feeling... More

This is a must-eat-at restaurant if you want a true Stockholm experience! Our table of 7 ordered the Swedish meatballs, pig hoof, steak, and reindeer. We all passed around the portions because they were so huge and enjoyed sharing the squash, mashed potatoes, and roasted baby potatoes for the table. The service was friendly and we all left saying that... More

the service was terrible and the plate was expensive for what we get. The waiter didn't want to give us glass of water, we have to buy a bottle more expensive of a glass of wine. The only thing that was ok is the deco of the restaurant. It is a tourist trap.

I'm here with my parents in Stockholm and we chose this restaurant based on the reviews we found here. The restaurant decor itself has a lot of charm without being overbearing... You find people having intimate dinners while others are having a casual/social evening with friends all in the same room. The service was fast and friendly, our server was... More

Fantastic Swedish cuisine for both tourists and Swedes! We were here on a Saturday night and both the service and cuisine was fantastic. A party of four we had a mix of fish and meat dishes and they were all superb. Thnx a lot for making our summer evening something special!

This place was recommended to us by friends and they were right. Its average in terms of stockholm prices but the food is anything but average. Its delicious and beautifully presented - I'm told the meatballs are amazing and everything is traditional Swedish, but my husband had liver which was probably a winner and i had the salmon. Both really... More

My brother and I went to dinner here after it was featured in both of our guide books. The building itself is lovely, with high ceilings. They had a menu in english, which was welcome since it would have taken me an hour to translate the Swedish version. As a starter, we were given some bread, which was delicious. Some... More

My 12 year old son and I had lunch at Pelikan. It was tasty and very filling. We had to go for a lengthy walk after his plate of meatballs to stop him from going into a meat coma. We enjoyed the meal and the service was friendly and timely. I would highly recommend Pelikan for a traditional Swedish meal.

This was my first experience with traditional Swedish food (outside of the IKEA food court) and the Pelikan did not let us down! The pickled herring starters were great, as was the bread, and we got started with some aquavit and beers. The mains which we had were all quite nice, the char and salmon and cod all fresh and...
