Classic food at a classic Stockholm restaurant

Pelikan is one of the places that visitors in Stockholm definately should visit. Their menu is classic and filled with wonderful dishes with excellent taste and feel. I've been here several times and most of the time I go for the meatballs which I really recommend for first time visitors. After... read more

Since Stockholm is very expensive when you are visiting from abroad, we decided to have a nice dinner on our last night in Stockholm. Pelikan was the restaurant we chose, and I'm glad we did. You need to make a reservation, which can easily be done via their website. The service was good and the food especially kötbullar (meatballs) were... More

It's OK. traditional classical Swedish meals in a historic restaurant. If you are into old Scandinavian cuisine I guess it's a reasonable choice if you are in the area. Nothing more nothing less.

Booked on line since it was our first night in Stockholm. Arrived and shown to our table. Attentive and brought flask of water plus bread whilst we read the menu. Had eaten a late lunch so only room for the main. Swedish meatballs - not IKEA standard at all, and cod loin poached with shrimps in a brown butter sauce.... More

We had a great experience at Pelikan - loved the more traditional feel of the decor, service and menu - there seemed to be quite a few elderly Swedish singles coming here for their usual lunch - giving it a more authentic and less touristy feel. Meatballs were great - we'd heard it was one of the best places to... More

The whole experience at Pelikan is the best! Traditional Swedish cuisine in a great ambiance. The decor is just what you would except here. The food is beyond good and the portions are tremendous. All the classics, herring, pork knuckle, meat balls, mashed swedes. All made even better by the attentive and professional wait staff. This is a MUST place... More

I visited this place after checking TripAdvisor. The place was packing, and yet the dedicated personell was beside me in a heart beat. Traditional menu, and it tasted great. Another comment previous was about the smell, but when you visit old buildings, that's just the way it is. Just adds up on the atmosphere. Thank you for nice meal and... More

This place offer both a dining hall and a beer hall. Both rooms are great depending on what you are after. If you are in for a meal i can recommend the "Grosshandlar middag". Three course meal which will make you really happy.

I went there just because some swedish friends suggested me to do so. IT. WAS. AWSOME. Lovely atmosphere, great food and nice people, I would recommend to everybody to spend some time there. It is expencive, but so is Sweden, not a big deal. I did love it.
