Great visit

I went here last month while visiting my girlfriend who is working in Stockholm and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant and bar area were both very busy and we were told there would be a 40 minute wait for a table so we went into the bar for a drink. The barman was very polite and efficient... read more

Decor is nice, food is also ok. Its traditional swedish food if you like to try. The biggest let down was that the place absolutely stunk of sweaty feet/cheese. It was overcrowded and with the large ceilings very noisy as everything echoed and it was difficult to hear ourselves speak.

The restaurant is beautiful, the food is very good and reasonably priced (for Stockholm). We had two beers, two glasses of wine, shared a started and two mains for about 80 euros, which is cheaper than most places around town It's a definite tip for a visit, but we must be mentioned their service leaves some to be desired: -... We ate here on Good Friday. The prices are affordable for Sweden prices and they have a good selection of traditional cuisine, including meatballs. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere

We stopped in for a beer and some appetizers to hang out in the great historic room for a bit. The bar was closed and we sat in the dining room, a beautiful space. Average beer selection, the appetizers (traditional Swedish dishes) were excellent. The waitress was not very friendly bordering on unfriendly especially when we said we were not... More

It's not so cheap, but it's very tasty. The main room is 100 years old. The plates are very big. I recommend it to all Stockholm guests

The Pelikan (Pelican) restaurant is a just a short walk from either the Medborgarplatsen or Skanstull subway stops in Soder neighborhood and from the Sofo Hotel where we were staying. The decor is reminiscent of the early 20th c. and is quite charming. They serve many traditional Swedish dishes that are quite tasty and reasonably priced (for Stockholm). We had... More

This isn't the best restaurant you'll ever go to, and it certainly isn't the cheapest. But it's unpretentious, authentic and a true neighbourhood restaurant that happens to have been serving its neighbourhood for centuries. I used to live round the corner, and I go here more or less every time I'm back in Stockholm. For real Swedish food it's the... More

Great food! If your travelling on a budget probably not the place to go as you will easily spend 500kr each (beer starts 65k!) However, if you fancy eating at a local restaurant tasting the local cuisine I would definitely recommend. Try the meatballs!

After having many recommendations from friends as well as "top 10 stockholm" book to try this restaurant we thought why not. Booked a table for 9pm as that's when they could fit in a table For 2. Sounded good- busy must mean good?!? We were seated at 9pm and greeted with a less than friendly waitress but we weren't concerned.... More
