Not your average Japanese......Creative fare with a distinct Scandanavian touch. Very relaxed. Imagine in the colder months, the seating is limited. Probably good to book first.

There's not much more I can add to the glowing reviews below, other than if you are in Malmö and have a craving for wildly experimental Japanese food, then this is the place for you. It's slightly pricier than other sushi restaurants in town, but you get what you pay for. The tasting menu is really goood value for money,... More

This is an ambitious and experimental sushi restaurant that also makes its own fusion japanese tapas. The maki they make is partly ingenious and partly somewhat corny; filled with (very Swedish pickled) herring or coleslaw and topped with garlic bread or local mushrooms. Its fun and unconventional, but can actually distract from the very good nigiri they also produce. These... More

I visited Saiko after seeing it on a hotel flyer. It's a cosy small place hidden away in Malmo, the interior is not at all Japanese, but the staff are dressed fittingly. Ordered a plate of mixed sushi, the place was full so I expected some waiting time. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for my drinks to arrive... More

Altough the restaurant is not centrally located, it's definitely worth a trip there (book ahaead). Super good sushis that are appealing both to the eyes and to the taste!! Decent prices, not over-expensive.

Good to excellent food! We chose a meny of several small dishes, starters, "japas" and sushi, of wish some where sooo delicious! The little dessert was good, but not special. Informal and good service by tables where you sit on sitting cushions "on the floor" with legs "in a ditch". Tables set with odd china and glasses, nice! A bit... More

We had the tasting menu. I lost count of all the dishes, but out of all of them there was only one that I didn't love. Everything else was delicious, especially the sushi. The service wasn't the absolute best, but just fine.

The sushi here is amazing! Really tasty, beautiful with interesting twists. Not the cheapest but worth it. Service is ok. Quirky atmosphere. Highly recommend

This small place earned their gold medal with honor. Their sushi are just stunning. I personally dont like their seating, I would prefer a table and a chair. But I guess that many likes this. I´m just old and not so flexible anymore. But you really go here for the sushi, and its woth it
