Delicious Carvery

We ate at the Tavern on Sunday and took advantage of the lovely carvery on offer. This was one of the best carvery lunches I've had in a long time. The carvery was organised so you went up a table at a time, thus avoiding the snaking queues normally found at such events. Well done to all of the... read more

The finest Sunday carvery in Staffordshire, excellent staff and hosts as always. £12.95 for 2 courses is great value in a cozy fresh traditional village pub.

Lovely home-cooked food, very hearty meals and very tasty. We went over the Christmas break which was lovely, with a homely christmas feel. The only draw back I'd say was how hot it was in there but I dont think it could be helped as the place was packed. I'd recommend for anyone to try this place! Plus it's dog... More

Although quite local we hadnt realised The Tavern had had a refit so we were very pleasantly surprised. The pub was very busy as it was just before Christmas. Although the food was very good, the portions were not that big so in some ways it appeared expensive. This would not deter us from visiting again though.

Had a very nice night at The Tavern. A pre-birthday dinner. Chris and Huni have made such a great job of the refurbishment. It's light, airy and very welcoming.
