New Years Eve

Excellent ambience, extremely attentive staff, exquisite food. Attention to detail impressive, we were the only English diners but the special evening menu was translated into English for us. Will definitely return on our next visit.

Super friendly restaurant, lovely food beautifully presented, with gentle live music adding to the ambiance. The perfect place for a special meal or a 'last night of the holiday' celebration. We had a delicious meal here, with the house wine which was very good, and whilst the overall bill was a little more expensive than other local restaurants it was... More

We ordered Sopa de Tomate and Carapaus Alimados for starters and then we shared a Xerem do Mar e da Terra for main. Lastly, we had Mousse de Dióspiro for dessert. Everything was superb! Service is fantastic and the restaurant is super cozy. I recommend visiting at leat once.

The service was casual and attentive. The food was original and good. The atmosphere and interior old Portuguese but with surprises. Only dissonant was the screen with photos of dishes continuously changing. Idea is okay but do it some other way. This way is disturbing while you're enjoying what you chose.

Wonderful ambience, attentive well informed staff, wide ranging wine list, exquisite food. Probably the best restaurant in the whole area.

We were there for the third time. 6 people night before a 60 birthday celebration. We were the second group, the place was not filled at all. to make it short: Black Angus for two: Ordered medium, received very rare; cold; stiff; hard to cut even with special knife. A total desaster. When complained the waitress took it back to... More

Went to Xerem twice while holiday in Portugal. Both times had really good meals with excellent service. Second time we went, there was a (Fado) music evening on. We were entertained by a splendid musical trio. A guitarist, a man on a Portuguese guitar and a very pretty female vocalist. Brilliant voice, only wish i could understand the language.

We went here for a birthday meal and was really surprised when we walked in, from the outside it looks a bit like someones house but the interior is lovely, a real rustic Portugese look about it. The food was great and presented really well, if you had this food and presentation in England then you would be paying 3... More

Visited Xerem with friends and had one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Prices not cheap by residents standards, but will seem it if used to UK/ northern Europe prices. So for us it will be more of a special occasion restaurant than a weekly visit. We had a wide range of dishes and everybody was... More

The night started with some complementary tapas and the chefs special, a traditional Portuguese porridge, it was lovely! We shared some tapas and a desert which were all lovely. The thing that made this night memorable was the service from the staff but particularly our waitress Claudia. It was her fist shift and she was knowledgeable polite and went above... More
