We had heard great things about Asador. However our first impression of the place in the form of surrounding feeling like a cheap cafeteria was followed by medium level food. Nothing was great. Nothing was bad either, but when you pay, not-bad is not enough.

The place was cosy and decorated quite simple, but furniture looked old and weary. In my opinion, newer and more comfortable chairs are required. Nevertheless we did enjoy our evening in this restaurant. The food and wine were delicious; the service was prompt, attentive and very professional. This restaurant is really nice and we'll probably come again.

I went for a business dinner here. The food is very good, including the dessert. Because i'm not a beef fan i had chicken. The taste was very nice, but some of it i didn't eat because it was a little undone (i don't eat undone meat of any kind). The fried potatoes were very well made. Both the aioli... More

Stayed over two hours for dinner (quite weekday evening with 3-4 tables after we entered), and only finished two courses (no time for desert). Don't try the set menu (first course is poor, main course is average and one dish sent back) , don't bother with pairing wine (no pairing at all, over priced very poor /off wines with only... More

Me and a friend went for dinner in September, we each had a main course and I had chicken (best one in a very long time..!) and a side dish with grilled veggies. We both had glass of Malbec and we were very satisfied when we left. The waiters and staff was nice and fun. I can def recommend this... More

Ive been to argentina a few times, and id say the steak here was actually better!! Authentic place with Chimichurri sauce, and Quilmes beer We had a really fun time with a group of 9 people The only negative things were perhaps it was a little expensive, and also we had fairly slow service But a fun delicious night, i... Good steak, good choice of sides, good selection of fresh steak sauces - try the Chimichurri! Great summer location - they have seats right by the canal.

Went to Asador for an evening meal with my husband after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor. Food was good but nothing special. Service was appalling. Waiters were miserable and inattentive. Had to constantly ask for things that should have been automatically done. No atmosphere. Piano bar music playing in background which wasn't the right ambience for an Argentinian restaurant.... An Argentinian restaurant with fantastic steaks. You sit beside the canal so can watch the world go by during the summer. You will be on the shaded side of the canal but that can be an advantage as the sunny side gets a bit messy with the pubs there,

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighborhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
