Kokkeriet is a place with contrasts. It is a small restaurant with big ambitions. Familiar taste in an unfamiliar context. High-flying passion with a hint of grounded reality. It's a gastronomic choice in a different rendition of classic as well as new Danish dishes. Kokkeriet is all four seasons. It's sprouting and succulent dishes in spring, light and elegant dishes in summer, longing and melancholic tastes in fall, and comfortable, warming dishes in winter. It is love, understanding and respect for Danish gastronomy. With a twinkle in the eye, curiosity, obstinacy and a genuine intention to serve sublime Danish food reconstructed in the best possible way. Something we by the way are very proud of being awarded a star for in The Michelin Guide. Kokkeriet is modern and old fashioned, innovative and traditional, decadent and minimalistic, pretentious as well as humble... And we are looking much forward to invite you in.

Last minute table secured for dinner by our hotel concierge and it was a great introduction to the great restaurants and food in Copenhagen. We were situated in a dark room at the back of the restaurant (the main part was brighter and busier), and our waitress was sweet and charming and talked us through the complications on offer. The... really a place for foodies, each dish, you can select upto 11...and have them paired with really exquisite wine, really unusual choices, but all very very good. the staff was very knowledgable about the food we were gettign and the wines, every minute detail, so really this is Michelin level. You should not come with a huge appetite as the... More

Went to Kokkeriet with my wife and had the small tasting menu. Interesting choice of dishes, but in general there was too little flavor while some of the dishes (like the fried grated potato with egg yolk) were too salty. Not what I would expect from a one-star Michelin restaurant. Other than that the ambiance was good and the service... More

Dear Joachim, Thank you first and foremost for your visit with us and second for your honesty.. It saddens me and us all to read your review though but at the same time motivates us even more to try and find the right balance of salt in our kitchen, but I must admit that opinions are very much devided on... Everything about this restaurant suggested we'd be in for a treat. The staff is warm and charming, as is the space. The food is more than beautiful to look at. The wines were chosen with care. The problems were twofold. First, every dish was seasoned badly. Most had no salt at all. A few were over seasoned. Second, the food,... More

Dear guest, It brakes my heart to read your review and I remember us having the conversation on the evening regarding the salt and felt that we came to a good understanding and solution by bringing in the extra salt by the table. We obviously did not and for that my deepest apologies. We have as explained on the evening... More

This was an exceptional dining experience. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. You could not ask for better service. We started off with 5 or 6 amuse-bouches (sounds better than saying snack. Each one was not only different but absolutely delicious. The waitress explained to my wife and I what the ingredients were but also the preparation. We... More

Kokkeriet is a Michelin one star that doesn't live up to its reputation. We had high expectations when we visited. We started with a series of unusual and good one-bite canapes. The were separated by long (15 minute) waits. When it came time to choose tasting or regular menu, we chose a starter and a main. They were unexceptional, not... More

Dear Ken, It saddens me and us so very much to see your review title and to read your review, for we put so much effort, every single one of us in this small restaurant to be able to exceed our guests expectations. When we fail at that and to such a degree as to disappoint, it simply takes out... More

Exquisite tasting menu with choice of near-normal sized main course. Exceptional service... culinary theatre! My cheeseaholic husband says the cheese plate contained some of the best cheese he's ever had, including one special Danish cheese aged three years.

The food sadly didn't live up to our expectations, we chose the small tasting menu. It was just too "special". We normally enjoy getting our taste sense challenged, but a lot of the courses just didn't taste that good. And to a very high price, you want to be positively surprised with every course. I also want to mention that... More
