Kokkeriet is a place with contrasts. It is a small restaurant with big ambitions. Familiar taste in an unfamiliar context. High-flying passion with a hint of grounded reality. It's a gastronomic choice in a different rendition of classic as well as new Danish dishes. Kokkeriet is all four seasons. It's sprouting and succulent dishes in spring, light and elegant dishes in summer, longing and melancholic tastes in fall, and comfortable, warming dishes in winter. It is love, understanding and respect for Danish gastronomy. With a twinkle in the eye, curiosity, obstinacy and a genuine intention to serve sublime Danish food reconstructed in the best possible way. Something we by the way are very proud of being awarded a star for in The Michelin Guide. Kokkeriet is modern and old fashioned, innovative and traditional, decadent and minimalistic, pretentious as well as humble... And we are looking much forward to invite you in.

Not a dinner, an experience

One of the special restaurants we booked online in advance of our vacation, they did not disappoint (quite a feat considering how high our expectations were). The atmosphere is quite nice without feeling too overly formal; for those unsure I would recommend business casual attire. Even before... read more

One of the special restaurants we booked online in advance of our vacation, they did not disappoint (quite a feat considering how high our expectations were). The atmosphere is quite nice without feeling too overly formal; for those unsure I would recommend business casual attire. Even before getting the menu we were served several tasty small appetizer dishes and started... More

We had high expectations before we visited this restaurant given the price and Michelin star status. However I can't say I would recommend it. The service was good, but it took too long to start the meal - 5 snacks before the amuse bouche, and they brought the small snacks one by one (great if you were not too hungry).... More

We booked this as a very special meal to top off our visit to Copenhagen. In the end we were just wishing we could leave because although we were a little bit early for our reservation at 7pm, we waited half an hour between each course, finally able to leave at 1am. We were there for SIX hours. After the... More

We were lucky to eat here and knew that it was going to be pricey, so our expectations were high. We did the full tasting menu (11 courses in total) without the wine pairing, so this review is based on what we had. Service was fantastic from start to finish - super attentive without being overbearing, all the food came... More

We went to Kokkeriet with my mum and were lucky to get a cancelled table. The staff was really nice and welcoming but not too posh so we felt very comfortable. We went for the 7 courses tasting menu which was really interesting. Indeed, the staff explained the link between their take on Danish classics and how the classic looks... More

Service was unbelievable and highly knowledgeable including details of the wine pairings. Menu was based in exacting deconstructions of classic Danish dishes. The cod/beet snack was great and klippfish potato dish was perfection! Examples of well thought out wine pairings included a Sauvignon blanc from Klein Constanta in South Africa (I love their desert wines but had never tried this... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your positive review. We strive for perfection, and I am so happy to hear, that we met these criteria with the klippfish potato dish. We compose our wine menu with great care, and we are very pleased that you appreciated it. The price on food and drinks in Denmark is sadly a bit... More

I was lucky enough to have dinner at Kokkeriet this summer, and it was so yummy! I did the whole menu with the wine pairing

My wife and I brought our daughter and her Danish boyfriend here. This was like fine dining if you had a personal chef invite you into their own home. Very warm, friendly vibe going on despite the fancy decor and Michelin star. The service was like being treated by family. Very attentive family. The food was delicious but like most... More

Kokkeriet made my wife and I feel very special. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere which was unpretentious as high quality dining can be! The food and service was marvellous and the chef regularly visited the dining area to serve some dishes and assist with explanations of the creations. The time flew by - a full 4 hrs! I would fully... More

Don't let the ordinary middle class neighborhood fool you, this is a bastion of very serious cooking and entertainment. And, it's all about great food and its presentation. My wife and I consider ourselves to be "foodies" and we were blown away by the meticulous service and the amazing amuse bouches - a procession of them. Plan to dine here... More
