Based on our early memories and impressions, we reinterpret the way Danish food should be prepared. With great respect for the original French craft of cooking, and by using novel techniques, we prepare food that reflects true elegance, and at the same time - attention to details. Our kitchen has successfully accomplished its mission this year by achieving a star in the Michelin guide - a clear recognition of the hard work and high dedication of our staff. Our restaurant is located in a charming area of Copenhagen, where tradition and rejuvenation meet - a perfect match for the food we serve.

What does one do if, on arrival at a good restaurant, one is led through the buzzy, full, atmospheric dining room to an empty room at the back with three set tables and no guests? There's no doubt that the chefs put a great deal of thought and technique into the food here (as was made evident by the interesting and elaborate explanations of each dish), but the end result isn't for everyone. All the reinterpretations of traditional Danish dishes reminded me of using modern costumes and settings in productions of classical operas. I liked... More

Dear Guest We appreciate your words on the effort that our chefs put into each dish. We are extremely sorry to hear your judgment of our food though. We put a really high effort in interpreting dished with a unique and Danish taste. We taste, discuss, rethink, taste, discuss and so forth. But we know, that not everyone can have... More

Great food and wine .However, my wife and I went to celebrate her 30th birthday and opted for the large food menu and large wine pairing despite our initial hesitation that it might be too much. We asked the waitress and she assured us that it was all very small portions and she thought it would be fine for us..... More

All the dishes served at the restaurant is an interpretation of a traditional Danish dish, which would mean a lot more if we knew what the original dishes were or tasted them before. Alas, the overall experience was almost as good as the one we had at lunch. I still remember taste of the wonderfully cooked beef with plums and... More

Went to Kokkeriet yesterday night (Tuesday 10.02) with my fiancee as a surprise dinner. I am a foodie so I have been diving very regularly into the gastronomic heaven that Copenhagen has evolved into. Have been wanting to go there for a while - so really looked forward to the visit. I haven't been impressed with the quality of food in a restaurant for a long time hence my review .. My £90 tasting menu was extremely good value with 7 out of 9 dishes having a 'wow' factor and the other 2 were excellent .. The service was very friendly and the chef proudly came out to explain many dishes... More

Don't go there if you are just hungry. Go get a burger instead. But if you want to remember for a long time what you had for dinner when you were in Copenhagen, then Kokkeriet is your place.

We ate here on our last night in Copenhagen. What a fantastic way to end an incredible trip. This is a first rate restaurant. The food is awesome. We went with the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, proud of her work, and gave us entertaining overviews of each serving. Well worth the price.

My partner and I dined at Kokkeriet on the recommendation of a former head chef of the establishment. There are some pretty heavy-hitters on the Copenhagen dining scene so we went into this experience with an open mind and a healthy appetite. From the minute we were greeted by the general manager Sammy Shafi, what followed was a flawless and... More
