Classy restaurant with lot of charm and history - great romantic setting Food is brilliant, interesting combinations and flavours without any surprises (meant in the most postive way). Absolutely love the cheese wagon and big plus for the option for non-cheese lovers We got their "reprise" menu which was a combination of courses from the current head chef Thomas Rode,... More

Considering this was the most expensive meal I've ever had (and probably ever will have), I expected more. I've been to enough Michelin-starred restaurants (and others that probably deserve the star) to understand what high-end dining is all about. However, when I walked out the door here I just couldn't help but feel that something was missing (other than a... More

service was welcoming, formal and made you feel like you were in for something special. The right amount of sophistication and formality you would expect from a Michelin Starred restaurant named King Hans Cellar.

Fantastic Dinner - great balanced service - not to stiff and not too loose. The food is different than what you will find at competing restaurants. The menu is excellent combined in presentation, volumes and taste. I have been to a handful of the michelinstar restaurants in Copenhagen, and a handful in other main cities in Europe and this is... This superb restaurant is in a basement just off the main shopping area in the centre of Copenhagen. On arrival we were offered a selection of champagnes or other aperitif. We were given a taster plate of mixed breads (one made of lard) and amongst other things, pickled quails eggs. My husband hates eggs so I expected to have the... More

My daughter and I being foodies wanted to sample the best Copenhagen had to offer and we were not disappointed. This is a beautiful unusual restaurant and very light inside for a basement location. We had the seven course tasting menu which was amazing. My daughter has a few food allergies and they were only too happy to provide alternatives.... More

We were a group of 6 - all foodies - hoping for a really special Copenhagen dining experience. Kong Hans Kaelder did not disappoint. We had the Summer Innovations tasting menu with wine pairings. Every course was well introduced by the servers. Each one was spectacular and the wines seemed perfectly paired. As tasting menus go, whereas so often they... More

Service is good but not outstanding, they failed on several times to introduce the food or wine. It seems they rely too much on the historic name and semi celebrity chef to bring in guests/couples for special occasions who are too easily impressed. At this price range the food is simply average, by no means bad, but not the level... More

Went here since Noma is closed on Monday nights and it was fabulous. We chose their special "many course" menu for the table and the food was unusual and fabulous, as was the bread. Wine is quite expensive. The service was exceptional and it was a memorable end to our vacation for 4 couples.

Went to KHK for a treat. Friendly, engaged service (ask about the history of the building) and the a fabulous meal. Excellent bread, sublime appetizers and the main course did not disappoint. Wish we had room for dessert. Yes, its not cheap (especially the wine) but we felt the total experience was worth it.
