Read lots of trip advisor reviews to choose this restaurant and still it exceeded our expectations. We visited as a group of 7 and were incredibly well looked after (small cosy restaurant so book if you can). Our host was brilliant, she was very detailed at describing dishes. I have very serious allergies and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the... More

Friends recommended this restaurant for our stay in Copenhagen and we weren't disappointed! We booked on line before we left the UK which was good as they were turning people away on the night. The atmosphere is cosy and traditional with efficient service. We both opted for the set menu at Kr288; Prawns served with homemade dressing/ soup; Filet of... More

Nice intimate setting, old-style Danish rather than uber-trendy Scandinavian. I had the roast pork and red cabbage (Danish favourite I'm told) and it was very nice and served quickly. Good selection of beer to go with it.

The three of us ordered the Danish variety at 188 dkk per. The first platter had the best herring I have had ever in a Scandanavian country. Smoked lox with a mustard and pork with a candied rind. Sides of sweet red cabbage, pickled cucumbers and beets along with dense light and dark breads. A small bowl of lard for... More

I went here having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, it is situated in a basement. The door was closed and for a while ourselves and several others were trying to work out whether it was open. There was a dim light in the window but nobody could be seen inside, I opened the door and a waitress appeared and... More

We were recommended to try this small restaurant by our hotel. As previously described we enjoyed the mix of starters from herring to flounder and the main course roast pork was superb. Not as expensive as most of Copenhagen so if you want to try some traditional dished I can highly recommend.

I had dinner at PUK restaurant twice and both of the times have been a great experience. Cheaper then comparable restaurant downtown. I discovered the restaurant on Tripadvisor and I strongly suggest other Tripadvisor users to go there and enjoy your meal

Went there for traditional Danish cuisine and chose the 188 kroner menu, which served nice cream/herb herring, smoked salmon, prawns, breaded flounder as a starter which is filling, followed by roast pork, pate, and Brie. We were well stuffed - tried the PUKS special beer but not that great. Service was informative and good and restaurant was in a small... More

We asked at the hotel desk for a dinner recommendation our first evening in Copenhagen. We'd just arrived and were exhausted. It happened to be our wedding anniversary. The lady at the desk asked what kind of food and without thinking I said Danish. They gave us this name and directions before my husband asked what Danish food IS. They... More

I tried the hamburger with fries here, because burgers are clearly very popular in Copenhagen. I didn’t have high expectations. It turned out to be one of the best burger-and-fries plates I’ve ever had. If you like burgers and aren’t worried that trying a burger means missing out on real Danish cuisine, I highly recommend this one.
