We ate traditional Danish dishes which were rich and plenty. The ambiance was homely and the staff were really friendly. The pricing is fair. Recommended restaurant!

I was recently Nyhavn area and I chosed this very nice and typical restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent. the people very friendly, taking into consideration also the good location in the centre of the beautiful Copenhagen, Skindbuksen restaurant it is a real point of reference.

My husband and I found this place wandering around the streets behind Stroget. The yellow exterior caught my eye then the fact the restaurant was full caught my eye. We went in and were seated straight away at the last table they had available. We ordered the Smørrebrød. I ordered the roast pork one and my husband ordered the smoked... More

We found this restaurant by chance after looking at quite a few in the area which failed to satisfy one or more members of our group, and what a discovery! We received the warmest possible welcome, with advice on the food, which also turned out to be really tasty. Two members of the group decided to go for a platter... More

We happened upon this restaurant and sat outside. It was pleasant place, although some of the patrons smoked nearby. I ordered a vegetable pie, which was similar to a quiche, which was served with a fresh salad. The meal was very good, and the service was helpful. I would recommend eating at this restaurant. There is a nearby Metro station.

We asked our hotel hostess for a local, good, Danish restaurant in the neighborhood. Caveat: Not recommended for pure vegetarians. Off menu was a Tomato soup the waitress recommended which was excellent. The fish and chips had herbs and pickled onions on top. Was very good. The smoked salmon and asparagus was served on toast topped with lettuce. It was... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as we wanted typical Danish food, which I love. The waitress and waiter could not have been more friendly or helpful. They recommended a platter of a variety of food. Too be honest it was delicious, but a lot of food, we could not have eaten it all maybe we should have gotten the smaller... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. We arrived there on Friday night and it was very busy, but the nice waitress did all she could to arrange a table for eight for us. She moved some tables around, asked other guests to move a little bit and we got our table. The food was very nice, big portions at... More

I wanted to show indigenous Danish food to my publisher during pur joint stay in Copenhagen, and - after rainy trip to Bakken - we entered Skindbuksen wet and hungry. Flæskesteg with rødkål, kartofler and brun sovs - that was our choice. We took laso Røde Aalborg and Leffe beer. So, we got plenty of food, real pork, real Danish... More
