I been here a few time, this is real danish food, solid good food, from a time gone which is rarely served, so I four star a bit low five stars properly high, in-between just right. I you are in Copenhagen and taking a walk this place is great for coffee, smorgas, and other danish specialties. The interior is warm,... More

We've been there for a lunch; it's a typical danish restaurant. Small quantity, long waiting time to be serve. It's ok to go one time (it's probably the oldest restaurant in town).

Probably the oldest restaurant in Copenhagen meets with charm and hospitality. Felt there like dining at home. Very good Danish national cuisine. Recommend testing local Akvavit. It reminded me of Czech Beherovka.

A small eatery to the North of the city advertises as "probably the oldest restaurant in town". Warmly welcomed, and attentive to my wife's special dietary needs. A place to visit for an evening - food wasn't "fast", but was delicious & inventive. Yes, we will definitely go there again if visiting Copenhagen.

I have enjoyd this establishment for many years. It was one of my favorites in Copenhagen. In fact I met my wife here 9 years ago. Back then it was a place with a a good atmosphere, really good food and a friendly personal service. Today, there is still a good atmosphere and the food is still a good. But... More

This place charms you as soon as you walk through the door. The happy welcoming faces of the polite and warm staff are always happy to help you with a table or to serve you a fine beer. The food we ordered was wonderful, really flavoursome home cooking style dishes that match the mood and decor. No pretentiousness here. There... More

This is with no doubt in top 3 of traditional Danish lunch places in Copenhagen. Service is a bit slow and it takes time getting your food but it’s worth waiting for. Prices are slightly above average but you’ll get quality here - definitely worth a visit if you want to try the real thing!

For our last evening meal on a recent visit to Copenhagen, we ate at Toldbod Bodega based on the recommendation of the front desk clerk at our hotel. Simply put, this was the best meal we ate in Copenhagen. Our meal choices were nothing fancy...my wife had a nice filet of beef and I had a chicken breast...but they were... More

Been there twice. Enjoyed the food, the history and the ambience. Very good service; but may be not very friendly or courteous. The staff and guests appeared to have emerged from the pages of a history book. Wonderful location for those who chase tradition, history, culture and less of excitement.

My family ate our first and last meal in Copenhagen here. It was recommended to us by our Danish host and we couldn't have been more happy with it. The atmosphere is wonderful. Small but very comfortable with a great wait staff. The location was near to where we were staying which made it easy for a first meal. I... More
