A hidden treat

Spiseloppen is hidden on the verge of the Christiansen free land. After you climb through 2 graffiti coloured stair cases, you will end on top at the functional decorated restaurant. Spiseloppen offer a small selection of daily changing dishes at a very fair price (for Danish standards). The... read more

I was surprised when, after a two floor grafitti stair, I open the door and I found a nice restaurant. I strongly recommend it if you want to have a nice (and a bit pricey) dinner as a couple or with friends. Food was really nice. I had fish while my companion had lamb. Both plates were really nice, good... More

This restaurant in Christiana is kind of an awkward thing. We liked to find this type of menu in such an edge surrounding. However, it turned out to be much ado about nothing. The courses sounded creative and were beautifully presented but were not well balanced. The different flavours in each dish did not add up to a convincing and... More

A standard restaurant, nothing too fancy though the interior looks quite nice. Food is average, and the price is almost a bit high for the quality. Nothing stood out in the meals. Service was friendly and rather quick. Food for the masses.

Not sure what I expected of Christiana and this restaurant. We were following the reviews and they were right. We hadn't booked but with only two of us we got in. We both had the Lamb and shared a Greek Salad. It was fantastic - delicious. Really pleased we ate hear. Believe the reviews and try it.

We visited this restaurant twice after reading about it on tripadvisor. Don't be put off by the outside. The building is covered in graffiti and the restaurant is difficult to find (you need to go through a sort of archway and up some steel staircases). The restaurant is really pleasant and the staff and service friendly and helpful. We shared... More

We sort of happened upon tnis place...remembered the directions here - thank you. On a Wednesday we got in without reserving, but much better to call. My salmon, caviar, shrimp starter was fabulous. The lamb main had a Greek feel, with sides of eggplant, tsatsiki, and potato. My wife had poulet stuffed with shrimp. The preparation was superb. Loved the... More

As others have written, its location is a bit difficult to find. If you come around into the Christiania district the sign is up high on the old building. The stairs are steep and covered in graffiti so it can be a bit disconcerting. However, the restaurant is lovely, the food interesting, well prepared and served attractively.

My wife and I came here after walking down the weird but interesting Pushers Street and this is as quirky but without the drugs. We had a shrimp starter and it had a lot of coherent flavors with both garlic and sweet potatoes. For a main we had the beef tenderloin which came with excellent sides of au gratin potatoes... More

Super charmy place with a super location just inside of Christiania, embracing the laid back attitude of the freetown. Down to earth interior and staff, nice decorative food that hasnt blasted totally through the roof of the "smart-chart". Solid modern cooking at fair prices. The staircase taking you to the restaurant itself is a portal to an east Berlin underground... More
