This place is an experience. It's in Christiania, and you come up a dodgy looking stairway to get to the restaurant. Once inside, it's a fine setting. The waiter was funny. We were a party of 10, and tried pretty much everything on the menu, and everyone liked what they had. We had an 8 PM reservation, and by the... More

Do not forget you're in Christiania, things are different here, and so is this restaurant, you may be in the alternative scene, you are still in Denmark, no sloppy food or service is to be expected here. Most crew is foreign, and all do their best to run a good restaurant.

I have known this restaurant for over 20 years and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The area it is in is very interesting of course for a number of reasons. If it's your first visit do not be put off by the entrance. Once you are inside you will be welcomed and served very well. There... More

Had a terrific meal at Spiseloppen in December. The place was a little hard to find though. The address for the restaurant actually takes you to the back of the building. You have to go around to a courtyard area (we went down Pusher St.) to find the entrance. The stairway is full of graffiti and people smoking cigarettes, but... More

Found the restaurant through Tripavisor and was very, very happy with it. For dinner, I had the lamb special. The lamb was perfectly cooked with a beautiful velvety rich brown Sauce. The lamb was on bed of savory greens and was accompanied with a perfect potato muffin and Greek tashiki salad. the combination of flavored and textures were both supposing and... More

More than a restaurant, it is an experience. Cast aside any pre-conceived ideas and enjoy some wonderful food in a hyggelig atmosphere. I had venison for a starter followed by some of the best lamb I have ever eaten. Don't forget to visit the art gallery to be found before entering the restaurant.

What a great scene! Up the stairs, through the corridor and Wow! And that was just the ambiance. Finally, after paying incredibly high prices for pretty good food, we found a place charging reasonable prices for excellent food. Four of us arrived around 7pm. We had our choice of tables but the restaurant filled up quickly. The service was prompt... More

we went there at the end of July, after a long afternoon walking around in Christiania. The place is exactly as described by other travellers, the interior is totally different from the exterior. The menu is only in Danish but the waitress translated it for us. All the staff was nice and helpful. We had the deer and mullet fish, bith... More

It was some years ago and I can't forget. Amazing place, that you can imagine two minutes before being there. I loved the entrance.
