Worthy of its two stars

Imaginative tasting menu, worthy of its two Michelin stars. Interesting and unusual ingredients and superb presentation.

The meal consisted of a number of small "tastings" for each of three courses, in addition to something extra prepared by the chef for that day. Each small course was beautifully presented, creative and delicious. We chose the wine pairing rather than the juice and were very pleased with the quality. The atmosphere is quiet--tables are seperated so as to... More

The food was mostly good to excellent: The dessert courses were uniformly wonderful, and the fresh Danish cheese with shaved white asparagus was the epitome of spring freshness, but duck hearts served impaled on a stick was a perversion of humor, and the elaborate presentations of the baked onion and of the turbot wrapped in juniper were unnecessarily overwrought. The... More

AOC is the crown jewel, one of the best restaurants in Europe. Food is creative and delicious, presentation is inovative and perfect, delicate. Service is first class. We had a 6 course menu, but got several amuse-bouche before, one better than the other. The onion with caviar and the dessert with berries and goat cheese are to be remembered forever.

My third visit, this time the restaurant has just recently gained its second and very well deserved Michelin star. One menu is available in different sizes. We chose the full menu with 10 appetizers followed by 9 courses. Appetizers were a selection of "bits and pieces": lots of flavours, great ideas and rather complicated! With the appetizers we enjoyed a... More

Superb food except the raw shrimps. Excellent service and very good winelist. You can choose between 4, 6 or 8 courses. We choosed 4 courses and that was fairly enough because You got 3-4 appertizers before your ordered courses. Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2004 were just fantastic to the meat-courses.

We always have high expectations about michelin starred restaurants This one did no quite meet them. The menu was good - however nothing we were absolutely excited about. The portions were very small (even for a restaurant where you expect small portions) and the interior was a bit outdated. The young waiters were friendly but sometimes a bit annoying. All... More

AOC restaurant is the first restaurants with two Michelin stars that I have ever eaten in. To start with the conclusion, throughout my dinner there I couldn't feel the difference between this restaurant and a restaurant with only one Michelin star, maybe just in the price range. However, this doesn't mean that it is not a great restaurant and didn't... More

We ate here as part of a gastro tour of the Copenhagen restaurant scene. This was our most disappointing visit. Each dish let us down. None of the glorious flavor dazzle of Amass or Relae. I am not sure what the Michelin people were thinking when they awarded the two stars. The wait-staff was impersonal and smug, seemed to be... More

I found myself on my own for work in Copenhagen. Could not get into the famed Noma or Geranium, but had read great reviews re AOC so was excited. They were not phased that I was on my own. service was typically Danish I'd say - on the cooler side. I'm vegetarian and I appreciate this can be a struggle... More
