Traditional Danish dishes

Here is a nice place to try Danish food. Fish, chicken or whatever with sides served on toasted or cereal bread. Cosy place. Very nice service also.

Excellent lunch with wife at this restaurant which had been recommended by my family. From the service to the coffee everything was brilliant. I had the chicken and my wife the salmon and I can soundly recommend both.

Absolutely lovely place! Beautiful interior, cozy, friendly service. Quality of the food is also excellent! For all of those reasons it should be rated 5/5. But the traditional Danish food just doesn't seem to be quite my taste. That's the only reason. I preferred the fish dishes more than the meat dishes. Overall I'd still totally recommend the place for... More

If you are looking for a classic danish lunch, where the quality is high, the selection of Snaps is extensive, location "hyggelig" and the service superb/smiling, then look no further. The place has high quality selection of herring which comes with high quality bread. The sizes are good (3 pieces of Christians Ø) pr serving, so for lunch, 2 servings... More

Reserved table through the Fork. Table ready when arriving, great welcome. Food very good as well the atmosphere in this small restaurant. Recent price level, e.g. value for money. They also have homemade glutenfree bread. Recommended

This very cozy restaurant serves an exellent classic Julefrokost. The ingrediences are very good, and they are made into high quality food. Their aquavit (snaps) selection is just awesome, and for almost everyones taste. It is good for both one-two persons and for parties. If you want a truly danish experience with quality you will not be dissapointed. It is... More

Check opening times. We went around 7.30pm last week, in December, to find it closed at 7. More of a lunchtime restaurant. On last evening of our holiday however we wanted to eat early & went for dinner around 5.45pm. Had the most amazing, beautifully cooked meal of traditional Danish cuisine with delicious craft beers (I loved the steam beer)... More

Food was really good, with good service too. We had the 2 person menu (very Danish) and it did not disappoint. I highlight the first two courses (herring and salmon was very nice). Good selection of beers as well.

This restaurant is a great little gem, just off Nyhavn in central Copenhagen. The food is very traditionally Danish, and the place was full of locals when we arrived (which is always a good sign). There were also pictures of the Danish Royal family everywhere, and things like commemorative plates stuck on the walls, which was cute. We had some... More
