A small Restaurant, but with a big R ! The food was astonishingly good, perfectly tasty. The waiters were nice, and there is not too much decoration ; I've liked that. Suprisingly, it only costed me 110ddk, for this so good food. Best place I've been in Copenhaguen !

A colleague of mine brought me here in April of 2014 for Lunch, it was just excellent, the service was brilliant very friendly and professional and helpful, they had a lunch platter on the menu for two people minimum, my colleague asked if I could have it for one person since I am a Dane who has been living abroad... We enjoyed taking a break from touring with a lunch here. Food was good and service was excellent. Very quaint and was busy but not overly crowded. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice lunch in the area.

We had a busy meeting in Copenhagen and did not have much time for a lunch break. I called the restaurant, asking if they could serve something quick for us. That was promised. Our group of seven people got the regular menu card and ordered different 'smørrebrød', both warm and cold, and within minutes we were all served! That was... More

We stopped here for a late lunch after visiting Amaliaborg Castle. The restaurant is very clean with pleasant surroundings. Each dish on the menu has a recommended beer. I have the plaice which is served with shrimp and my partner had a traditional herring sandwich served with plenty of bread. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful even getting a... More

The restaurant is several steps down from street level, located conveniently a hundred yards from the main historical square where the Amalienborg palace. The interior is traditional, space is limited, tables are packed close together. On fine days, there are seats for ten outside on the sidewalk ( in some ways, more pleasant). The focus here is on lunch. Tourists... More

There are a lot of restaurant in Copenhagen serving Danish smørrebrød (open sandwiches) but this is definitely one of the very best. It is located in Amaliegade just a stone throw from the royal castle. They have an selection of the best of Danish smørrebrød. For each sandwich they have a suggestion of the best beer and snapps to go... More

This is a really genuine danish lunch place. Had a great "pariserbøff", great coffee, champagne and everything was nice. Try the recommended snaps to your food.

We called in to this cafe after visiting the Amalienborg Slott and was very pleasantly suprised. We had delicious coffee served in a china pot and cups. To eat, following a detailed explanation from the extremely helpful waitress, we opted for the salted herring and salmon, both dishes being served with plenty of bread. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and... More

Heard a lot on TA but nothing to take your breath away really. Only open for lunch and popular for business lunches, you should make a booking. Cramped but cosy, the service is prompt and attentive. The beef tartar was a winner, but fried plaice and fried pork were mediocre and disappointing. Not worth a revisit in my opinion.
