Cozy atmosphere with great smörrebröd

Lying in a basement with small rooms this place is really tight and tou have good times with other guests. Tasty smörrebröd, herring and other fish dishes with a fantastic variety of schnaps to choose from! A true scandinavian lunch for great value!

Here´s the other great Danish lunch only restaurant. The fried plaice is so crisp and choice of hering and other savouries make it a MUST lunch amongst the Famous Five in Copenhagen

This is "the classics done right" - i.e. good Danish "smørrebrød" (open sandwiches on rye-bread). Highly recommended to each classic Danish food.

This is a cosy restaurant with lots of ambience and is well worth seeking out. It is situated on a fairly quiet street between the Amalienborg Palace and Nyhavn and provides a welcome relief from the bustling and pricey tourist traps of Nyhavn harbour. It just does lunches and opened from 11.30 to 16.00 when we were there. The food... More

Very quaint and cosy little restaurant very close to Amalienborg. The waitress was very friendly taking our soppy raincoats and putting them somewhere to dry. We reserved ahead by sending them an email and were glad we did as it did fill up. The food was very tasty, although quite rich and filling - it tasted like proper home cooking.... More

Great place for lunch after watching the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, one block away. Wonderful selection of authentic Danish food at very fair prices.

A charming old place, where we had a nice little lunch. Quiet and filled with old Danish pieces, a sense of history. Very attentive folks. Danish tidbits and aquavit, and a great beer. Our little lunch, away from the bustle of Nyhaven.

Came across this place by accident while walking towards the areas with more restaurants. This place only does the open sandwiches which were really tasty. The bread was really filling and the topping choices were very vast. Also a reasonable price. Overall a very good experience.

Great place for lunch for fishes lovers. Ordered two types of herrings dishes and Parisian beef steak. Local Fur beer only 2,6% great for lunch. Local amazing rye bread provided by house. Very kind and professional staff. Early booking recommended.

Excellent meal in a great atmosphere, and served by the owners which was awesome. One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. Would eat here again in a heartbeat.
