Amazing Tokyo pop up

well it was worth flying to Tokyo to experience Rene's food....it certainly challenged and entertained - but mostly blew me away. He clearly did a lot of homework on japanese ingredients....I mean ants! Seriously? But guess what- it actually worked with the shrimp as well as the black garlic... read more

well it was worth flying to Tokyo to experience Rene's food....it certainly challenged and entertained - but mostly blew me away. He clearly did a lot of homework on japanese ingredients....I mean ants! Seriously? But guess what- it actually worked with the shrimp as well as the black garlic leaves. Bursts of citrus were delivered by these ants....just blew me... More

Its difficult to get in here but its worth the perseverance. Its close to city centre so we walked from our hotel near the station/Tivoli Gardens, We were greeted rather effusively by British standards, but it was very welcoming. The lunch had many courses but don't be put off by that idea as many are little more than a taster.... More

It was really great. My husband used to find some flaws everywhere, but this time he didn´t! Yummy, the cuisine is delicate! Nice service. We had to wait a bit, but that doesn't matter. Tis restaurant corresponds its status. Hope they continue in the same spirit! Good luck

Noma is a brilliant place, it is expensive, but look at it like you would any other travle or major investment, it is an experience that will stay with you and you will talk about again and again.

My heading says it all. From the fresh Scandinavian source produce to the organic wine pairing, just wow! I must commend the staff. Service is attentive, professional and efficient.

We literally arranged our Europe trip around our booking reservation at Noma. We didn't even include Copenhagen in our original itinerary. Coming all the way from Asia, with so much hype around it, you could say that our expectation is over the roof. So we finally reach the restaurant, half-hour early than our booking, the moment they opened the door... More

We were fortunate to enjoy Noma Tokyo on the last day of their Tokyo Sabbatical. Where do I begin. When you have an earth-shattering meal like this it makes you think of other experiences we've been able to have like El Bulli (2010) and Tetsuya (2005) and Osteria Francescana (2012). In the end, Chef Redzepi must be considered a genius... More

This is on a visit to "pop-up" temporary transfer of "Noma" to Tokyo in January/February 2015. The evening started with a bow toward one of the spectacular dishes of the Japanese cuisine "Odori Ebi" –living shrimp. It came on ice sprinkled with dead ants. The notion that ants contribute to acidity made sense for me – 25 years ago I... More

I realise Noma Tokyo is a temporary restaurant, but their food really deserve its own review, as the same menu will NOT be found again after they close in February 2015. Sad! So enjoy the photos and I can assure you, having been fortunate to have dined at Noma Copenhagen and Tokyo, the food was different and excellent at both... More

The quality of the ingredients, the accuracy how they are plated, the way how they are explained and also who explain them to you: Chefs, waiters, managers everyone is involved in this amazing and yet unique gastronomic game of flavour and experimentation. I'm just speechless. Best culinary experience so far. J.B.
