Superb Birthday Celebration

Firstly I must apologise for my late reply, we visited Noma in November to celebrate our Son's 30th birthday. We managed to reserve a table for 5 adults, I had emailed prior to our reservation that I wanted a cookery book signed by Chef Rene for our Son. This was all taken care of for a fee of... read more

I have visited many of the best restaurants of the world. I am therefore very happy, that I only have to walk a few hundred meters to visit a restaurant, that in my opinion belongs in that category! Situated by the side of one of the canals in one of the oldest parts of Copenhagen, Christianshavn, you first enjoys the... More

This review is based on a Noma Australia experience. Australian foodies have the magical opportunity of experiencing Rene Redzepi's Noma, during a 10 week stint at Sydney's Barangaroo. Rene and his Danish team of food artisans (back & front of house) are truly surprise and delighting Australian pallets with what can only be described as a creative masterpiece and culinary... More

I can easily say that this was an superb experience. All aspects of the evening showed so much dedication of the staff. The reception was done by the complete staff; overwhelming! At the start they made inventory of allergies and preference for type of water and after that never needed to ask. They really know the food and wine being... More

Arrived here after a starter of tuborg and joints in Christiania. It blew my socks off despite sky high expectations. One of the girls with us started crying she was so happy during lunch. I'll be back when he opens his new place if not before. Love everything about what Rene is doing here. Bravo.

The whole reason for our recent trip to Copenhagen was to try to secure a reservation and have a meal at Noma, and we were incredibly lucky to successfully snag a table for lunch there on New Year's Eve. It was, quite simply, one of the finest dining experiences we've ever had. I don't know how much one can say... More

I had very high expectations arriving at Noma. The hype surrounding it made me wary that the meal would not meet those high expectations. This wariness was happily misplaced. From the moment we walked in the staff made us feel like old friends. The space is warm and simple, inviting you to linger. Our groups was celebrating the end of... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighborhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
