Always a pleasure

Having dined in the restaurant on several occasions over the years I can without a doubt recommend Le Sommelier. This is probably the restaurant with the highest "value for money", I have ever been to. The food is - like Sonny E indicated in a previous review - on a Michelin star level but at lower... read more

We dined there last night in their quiet, spacious and elegant setting. Our waiter was attentive and helpful in selecting our dinners and wine. For starters I had Oysters from France and my wife had a wonderful salad with Grilled Goat cheese on toast. For our main courses I had the Veal chop with sweetbreads and my wife had quail... More

I have been visiting Le Sommelier for over 15 years. It certainly ranks among the top restaurants for quality in Copenhagen. However it seems since the renovation last year the owners want to raise prices and become more "frou frou" with dishes and offerings. Service is good but not to the professional level that they are seeking to emulate with... More

Le Sommelier delivered again; very good food, tremendous wine list, good service and all in all a very pleasant ambience that was sufficiently private to be able to converse and really enjoy the evening. In addition to the a la carte there is a 3 course set menu for dinner for a very reasonable sum (435dkk). Tasting menues are fun,... More

3 of us met for a quiet business dinner. My local colleague chose the venue and it is superb. We had a sumptuous dinner of locally sourced produce. The staff are impeccable and attentive without being pushy. The wine list is extensive and has some great surprises. We settled on a fine Bourgogne. I chose the fillet steak which was... More

This is a beautiful restaurant & the service is outstanding. But ultimately, if you're going to dine here~ have the Foie Gras! You will not be disappointed, it was one of my all time favorite dishes.

We had dinner at this restaurant following the ratings of fellow travellers in TripAdvisor. We had baked catfish on a mussels and mushroom bed, pan fried turbot and lobster with onion salad and vegetables, green salad with fried goat cheese, and the desert of the day (red fruits with coulis and mascarpone ice cream). The meals were delicious, the service... More

No doubt, that the food at Le Sommelier is outstanding, however I always get a bit confused about the overall concept and service level. I always get in doubt whether I am dining in a Bistro style place were everything is a bit more relaxed or a more formal Restaurant. This evening we had to ask for menu cards after... More

On a small layover, we ate here. We had a burger with fries and drinks. Overall for what we ate I can't complain and the service was good. I can't comment on the wine since I don't drink the stuff. (To Travel Is To Live)

What should have been a first rate meal was barely passable. Good wine, well chosen by the sommelier was the highlight. The food was poorly prepared and a disappointment from beginning to end.
