Description: Krogs Fiskerestaurant has had an unsettled existence in recent years, with many different owners slowly but surely eroding the core concept at one of Copenhagen's most traditional restaurants. But now, Krogs is in the hands of people who take the grand old lady seriously. They have quietly spent the past 6 months in the kitchen to hit a culinary note that is uncompromisingly rooted in history, but also brings more than 100 years of Danish cuisine into the 21st century. From now on, Krogs Fiskerestaurant serves Danish classics with a personal touch - just no nonsense, honest food prepared from the best available ingredients. Their ambition is clear: offering the best seafood in the country, served in a pleasant and personal atmosphere - nothing more, nothing less.

The restaurant is more than 100 year s old and you have the perception that inside nothing is changed. Perfect fish and mussels Cozy location on Gammel near Danish Parliament. Classic Danish cousine also if for Orson Wells was the Nordest restaurant of the French Cost.

Lovely fish, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. A little bit on the pricey side, especially the wine. The restaurant looks almost as it did when it opened 104 years ago, which is nice. Located near Christianborg (Danish Parliament), but unfortunately also next to where one of the stations on the new Metro Circle Line is currently being build.

I booked this restaurant because of all the good reviews people have left but it's all lies! Waited an hour for the starter and then another hour for the main. Waiter not friendly not helpful. Maybe it's because we didn't order wine, they didn't really want to serve us. They did treated the local customer quite well but not the... More

We had dinner here at our last visit to Copenhagen. We were a bit late due to a delayed plane. No problem, the reservation was still there when we arrived 45 main late. The menu offers a good selection of dishes, mainly sea oriented of course. The wine list was nice too. Very friendly service. The food offers a balance... More

We went on a Sunday evening. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was very good - we had the excellent fish soup, some of the largest mussels I've seen and some very good turbot. It's not cheap - we spent about £200 - but it was good value. Staff made one small mistake - sharing our wine with another... More

We have had several memorable experiences at Krog's, including landmark birthday celebrations and lovely dinner parties. But tonight was a different story. The bad service started at the get go. We stood awkwardly by the front door for five minutes waiting to be acknowledged and had to seek a server out. Then we sat for another 20 minutes without service,... More

This is certainly one of the best fish meals and experience I have had. We visited for a business dinner and had the set course meal with the recommendation of the wines for each course. The food was excellent ! the oysters too were very good and the wine suggestions went well with the food. The staff were friendly, attentive... More

We visited Krogs during a city break, and I was delighted. The service was warm and welcoming with good timing. The restaurant is traditional with lovely interior, and it feels a bit "high end" bordering to stiff. Although the waiters weren't stiff, luckily! The starter, Krogs fish soup, was absolutely delicious. I had the "skinstekt multi" (white fish) as the... More

We ordered an excellent wine though somewhat over priced. First course was a superb salad with seafood. Blew us away. Main course was a poached cod with a butter and chive infused oil along with some delicately pickled beats and sautéed onions. Wow, Cream Brule on the bottom with fresh fruit and other sweet items like strawberry flavored cream clustered... More
