Krogs Fiskerestaurant has had an unsettled existence in recent years, with many different owners slowly but surely eroding the core concept at one of Copenhagen's most traditional restaurants. But now, Krogs is in the hands of people who take the grand old lady seriously. They have quietly spent the past 6 months in the kitchen to hit a culinary note that is uncompromisingly rooted in history, but also brings more than 100 years of Danish cuisine into the 21st century. From now on, Krogs Fiskerestaurant serves Danish classics with a personal touch - just no nonsense, honest food prepared from the best available ingredients. Their ambition is clear: offering the best seafood in the country, served in a pleasant and personal atmosphere - nothing more, nothing less.

Although known for fish, the dessert was the star

This was our last restaurant on our vacation through Denmark, so by then I'd had A LOT of fish. I had the halibut and it was good, but I think I prefer non-breaded halibut, not a reflection of the dinner, just my preferences. The rest of our table had the bouillabaisse and loved it. One made a comment that the... More

Dinner at 7pm seated right away and offered a glass of champs. A great start to a wonderful meal. I would consider this and "Old School" dining experience quaint, and consistent. If you are looking for a special night out then this is the place. I did have the same quality of seafood at much lower priced restaurants but without... More

Good food but poor service. We had a reservation for 8:00 and were seated promptly however a half hour went by before we saw our waiter. After ordering we had repeated problems even attracting the attention of the wait staff. For a pricey restaurant I expect better service.

Four of us had a very good meal, though the one who chose the menu were a bit disappointed. Rest of us were very satisfied with the quality of the halibut, mussels and the Bouillabaisse. The service was however quite slow. We had to wait rather long time between servings, not to mention the check. Price is OK for good... More

Beautiful restaurant with a distinctly old school charm! The service was a little slow, which didn't bother us but may others, but balanced against that each course was obviously freshly prepared. The atmosphere and ambiance are quiet and traditional, but the food is original and presented in a contemporary fashion. Each course was delicious and the service was friendly and... More

AMAZING food, kind of weird old-school Danish local feel, which made it even cooler. Great service, small menu that was DIVINE. Would totally go back if there weren't so many other places we need to check out before July, but I give it a 4.5/5 recommendation. It's not 3000kr (1200 for starter -oysters YUM, dinner, drinks, dessert and coffee -... More

We were looking forward to this visit. A Classic place which takes you back in time. The food was alright and nicely prepared. But the service was not good. I had the pighvar fillet and my husband the bouilabaise a la krogs. It was ok nice, but didn't "go over the moon" for it.The dessert was good to, but it... More
