Description: Krogs Fiskerestaurant has had an unsettled existence in recent years, with many different owners slowly but surely eroding the core concept at one of Copenhagen's most traditional restaurants. But now, Krogs is in the hands of people who take the grand old lady seriously. They have quietly spent the past 6 months in the kitchen to hit a culinary note that is uncompromisingly rooted in history, but also brings more than 100 years of Danish cuisine into the 21st century. From now on, Krogs Fiskerestaurant serves Danish classics with a personal touch - just no nonsense, honest food prepared from the best available ingredients. Their ambition is clear: offering the best seafood in the country, served in a pleasant and personal atmosphere - nothing more, nothing less.

Excellent place to celebrate my birthday with my love. From start to end almost perfect food, serving, atmosphere, wine, music. Only comments was some mussels was served even though they had not opened. And perhaps little too crowded.

We ordered one open sandwich, half lobster and the classic fish soup. We thought these would be enough for us, but it is not. So we order the mussel. The mussel is small but taste very good. the soup is very small but lovely. The dish they use almost all of them are Royal Copenhagen with silver fork and knife.... More

Where to start? Amazing fresh seafood, great atmosphere, nice bossanova and jazz playing in the background. I ordered fried sweetbread, butter poached lemon sole and chocolate fondant. Everything was cooked to perfection and the the aesthetics were equally pleasing. Very interesting and comprehensive wine list, with a dozen wines you can buy by the glass. Easily this city's best restaurant... More

I was advised by my hotel's reception to go to Krogs if I liked fish, and I am really happy that I followed the advice. I arrived there without reservation, but still managed to find a table. The service was good, with the waiters being extremely kind and helpful, in the choice of both food and wine. The quality of... More

My wife and I had lunch at the renowned Krogs Fiskerestaurant. It did not disappoint. We walked in without a reservation and dressed in our sightseeing clothes of jeans and sneakers. We were out of place as the front of the restaurant was filled with well-dressed and coifed women. It was clearly a restaurant catering, at least during lunch, to... More

Had a glorious lunch on the street front at Krogs. I can recommend the plaice fillet open sandwich. It was one of the nicest things I have eaten in ages. Expensive maybe but it was worth it. I finished the lunch with a chocolate fondant and as a fan of master chef waited to see the centre ooze out and... More

Slightly surprised by the mixed reviews... We were recommended to try Krogs and enjoyed it a lot. Nowhere in Copenhagen is really cheap, so expect to spend about €90 pp including wine etc. We started with oysters - very good indeed and well presented... I had fish and my wife bouillabaisse for mains... Both excellent. All in all a very... More

My wife and I were looking for a seafood restaurant and was guided to this place. When entering the restaurant, it looked very posh. We had no reservation, but the staff found an extra table. One of the very few places with real silverware utensils. The menu we were given was very limited and focused on today's 3-course or 4-course... More

This was our second visit to Krogs in Copenhagen. We had fond memories of our first visit there about 4 years ago and wanted to return this time we see in Copenhagen. We were greeted by fine champagne which the waiter recommended. Then came the menu. I remembered that I loved their caviar, served with blinis. There were 3 types... More
