Gluten Free Amazing!!

I read about this place as it had gluten free pastries. Easy to find and such a delight. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Prices very reasonable. Only problem was trying to decide what to have! Quite a few gluten free options which was nice as opposed to the usual one or two options... read more

Just quite simply the best hot dog in Denmark. Own baked bread. Quality sausage. Delicious sauces. Why do I have to write a 100 characters?? What's wrong with a clear simple compliment?

Unfortunately when we got there the kitchen was closed and we couldn't try hot dogs or salads but we came back for the dessert and it was sooo delicious. I don't have gluten and gluten free choice was just brilliant! Usually you get one gluten free option and is brownie but in Andersen Bakery it was a lot more to... More

Hot dog was awesome. Others were mediocre, decent but not memorable coffee. I'm sensitive to smell so i can feel the baking/cooking smell all over my clothes upon getting out. Would suggest seating section near entrance to avoid.

We had a few coffees and cakes here during our stay. The coffee was good and the cakes to die for. I particularly loved the one that looked like a chocolate teacake. It was so tasty.

We stumbled upon Anderson when leaving the railway station hungry. It looked good and Denmark is known for its pastry, so we popped inside. What a brilliant decision it was! The cinnamon Danish was delic (it's a sort of a swirl, I'm sure it has a different name, but hey, it's my review). My other half took another pastry with... More

A reasonably priced sandwich and bakery. I had a bun with apple filling which was excellent. It has quite the selection of pastry and the staff are friendly. Coffee needs improvement.

Close to Central Station and the Tivoli, this bakery has a wonderful range of baked goods - cakes, breads and biscuits. But it also has light meals, rolls and salads and breakfast options. The coffee here is excellent! You can sit down at the tables or get take-away. Remember to get a number from the ticket machine so you get... More

Exhausted, travel-worn, and very hungry, we stopped at the first "real" place we saw when leaving the train station. This was the first time we struck it lucky (second time later that day was K-Bar). The pastries were GORGEOUS. the bakery smelled like cardamom and yeast and bread and coffee and cinnamon, all at once. We each ordered a coffee... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
