Great place to have dinner. The food is absolutely delicious and price-quality is good. When I was there, there were 3 waiters. There's only one guy who really takes his job to a next level, knows about food-wine combos and has a good eye for service. But he has to compensate for the other two: they were not very attentive.... More

We started with the cheese assortment which was mostly goat cheeses but pleasantly surpised at the distinct variety and generous portions. The wine pairing is crucial and our waiter was very helpful in picking a Pinot Nior that was a huge success and accent to the cheeses. He even gave us apple slices as a gluten alternative to the bread.... More

Just ate at Degas based on TA's high rating. To be number 1 raised our expectations, true, but we know the differnce between good food and great food. This was good. The service was prompt and friendly. For starters, they brought an amuse bouche of cheese puffs, not special at all. For apps I ordered a 'fantasy' of norwegian salmon... More

Was on a short visit with my family to Copenhagen and read about Brasserie Degas on tripadvisor (that the food was really good and worth a visit) before we went. The food was really excellent french cuisine but not fine dining even it was, because the portions were not so small. A grown up man felt full when leaving the... More

It was early evening, an ideal time for a lone, tired femal traveller. The staff were helpful and the food superb. I had a shellfish salad followed by duck breast. Luckily I was ravenous. I don't like sweet things so can't comment on the puds.

Located in an very low-key street in Copenhagen and absent from most tourism guides and brochures, Degas reveals itself as a great surprise. Courses are original but without going over the top in 'exoticism', and excellent both in quality of the ingredients and how they are prepared. The main courses menu could have more variety (usually a couple of fish... More

We could not have asked for a better dining experience on the last night of a three-week trip and our only night in Copenhagen. We had read no reviews before arriving in Copenhagen, and we went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. We would never have otherwise found it. We arrived with no reservation... More

We tried Degas based on TA reviews as we would not normally look for a restaurant in that street/area. The food is really delicious and exceptionally good value. The fish and seafood was well prepared as was the confit de canard and pigeon. The portions are generous and the dishes are presented in a nice way. The service is very... More

I can only reiterate the excellent comments from other reviewers about this restaurant. It is on a random neighborhood street but with nice modern decor on the inside. It was not very busy on a weeknight (hopefully an aberration) so service was very attentive and prompt. Each course was truly great. There wasn't the usual drop in creativity from appetizer... More
