Interesting

It was an interesting concept with all natural organic food. We ate there with work and had a set menu of 4 dishes. Got good wine recommendations that fitted really good with the food. Desert was my favorite. Nice atmosphere.

First of all, the food was excellent, but considering the price we paid, I would expect the service to be excellent as well ... and it wasn't: - When we arrived the owner (I guess) instead of welcoming us, called for "service!" so that the lady upstairs came to "really" welcome us - Nobody took care of our jackets -... Very enjoyable - tasty small portions, good variety - unobtrusive but efficient service - pleasant space in the old city - good value for money (by expensive Danish standards) - a better deal than Noma!

I had imagined that 'Marv & Ben' were two American restaurant owners, not so! This is a cool place, an unassuming entrance into a cosy ground floor almost open plan with the kitchen and then upstairs to our table in a completely different high ceilinged dining room with spacious tables and plenty of room in between, something I always appreciate.... Concept of the restaurant is very nice. Small dishes, but you take more than the usual starter and main course. However, portions are in general really small and somewhat overpriced. The lamb was very hard to find in the dish, it was that small. Service is slowish at best and we didnt really feel welcome. Wines are expensive for the... More

We read about Marv & Ben in our guide but were pleased to find it full of locals and not at all touristy. The cuisine is distinctly Nordic and the service matches this, direct, clear but not cheesy or over-friendly. The envrionement is warm, intimate and in the heart of the historic core of Copenhagen. The options available to try... More

We were four having a dinner after a very good theater show, and it turned out that the experience at Marv & Ben made it a memorable night out. The menu card consists of 13 different dishes, each dish comes with a recommended glass of wine, but you may choose a different glass or bottle of wine. Each dish and... More

My parents, wife and I spent the evening here for my birthday and what a fantastic time we had. The service, food and drink is of an international standard, which food aside is unusual for Copenhagen. I can't recommend this more highly and have been to "better " venues on paper, where the food, personal service and wine/food matching is... More

the small "mistakes" they did when serving us the pre-ordered three course menu I would have given them the fourth star. But have to say that our dinner experience was quite ordinary - nothing that I will remember as good. The starter was hake, cucumber, horseradish & dill - my kids (16 and 14 years old) and I loved it.... More

As part of a long weekend in Copenhagen we decided to take a friend out for a late birthday treat at Marv & Ben (Marrow and Bone). We plumped for the tasting menu (5 course) that comes with a different wine with each course. It is not cheap but we all agreed that it was a really good meal, and... More
