We loved the atmosphere here, and felt like we were transported back a few hundred years, yet very comfortable. It is in a very touristy area but once inside you feel like you are being well taken care of. My wife had the steak and I the lamb. She likes her stake medium, but this came back blue. and the... Food OK. Service good. For a touristy spot on the canal it was a good choice. According to our Danish friend, it is an old restaurant and reliable--perhaps, unlike the other restaurants in Nyhaven.

I ordered RETTEN I DAG, it was salmon. The salmon tasted fresh and great. Although I thought the taste would be better if the skin is crispy. My group also ordered: LAM, SØTUNGE, STRIPLOIN and Cod Fish. The verdict was all food tasted great. The lamb was tender and no weird lamb smell. Cod Fish portion was a tad too... More

The food taste awesome, and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is great, right next to the river. Dining area has nice setting. Price on the high side, but not ridiculous, worth a visit!

Nice place, gentle waitress always smiling, fishes very good ( big portion of sole, not so big the salmon) good wine It's a pity for the sweets , very poor choises. A bit expensive, but probably less than the other place in the same street. Good!

Open sandwiches are everywhere. It's good and different all the time but most of the time cold, with mayo and not really healthy choice. If you want to have a warm tasty meal for lunch, Cape Horn is a place to go. Dish of the day, risotto, perfectly cooked lamb. Well done! And really pretty girls working there.

This is a nicely decorated small restaurant on Nyhavn. tables were full outside so we went inside and glad we did. The interior is very nice and decorated in a ship theme with old boat models hanging from the ceiling and a decent little bar. The open face sandwiches were very nice and so was the fish and chips meal.... More

Enjoyed a tasty plate of open sandwiches and a beer one lunchtime in this pleasant spot overlooking the harbour at Nyhavn. There are plenty of tables outside but some are in direct sun and it can get busy. The interior is stylishly decorated and typically Danish. Staff friendly and helpful. Expect to pay a bit of a premium for the... More
