Monthly menu

The monthly 4 course menu is well worth trying. Salmon canelloni, steak, cheese and chocolate cake to finish. Colleagues tried some of the wines and were happy.

Had a cheeseburger which was generous in size and with nice sides and garnishes. Another group on what might otherwise have been a quiet Tuesday lunchtime seemed to be having a great time. Service pretty good. Suspect nice atmosphere of an evening but didn't try

Stumbled on this place on a business trip with a few hours to kill before the return train to Copenhagen. Quite an extensive lunch menu mixing Smorrebrod options with hot dishes. I went for the fish platter which was a first course of three sorts of herring and ordered an accompanying aquavit to help it down. Really fresh and tasty... More

Very cozy old fashioned style restaurant with a good selection of starters, main courses and desserts and a good wine menu. Good place for lunch, too. Outside seating possible when the weather is nice. Not the best place to take young children. Excellent if you want peace and quiet while you enjoy your meal.

We liked the look of this restaurant and it seemed to be quite traditional Danish in decor and menu. The food was fine, although we had better later in our stay in Denmark. They advised us on what we could have from the menu when we asked for guidance - oddly I ended up with loads of prawns for both... More

Service was slow which is my pet hate at restaurants. The waitresses were really helpful and nice teaching us how to eat Danish cuisine. Food is expensive but nice for the experience as I had never been to Denmark before. The food was tasty which surprised me. Would visit for the Danish experience and lovely waitresses.

Chose this establishment as there were people in it compared to the one opposite. It was a good choice and a most enjoyable experience. Service good although I did wait for initial service. Food was excellent. I will be back.

the food is ok, though considered good by danish standards, and overpriced, though not by danish standards as mentioned by another reviewer. my girlfriend grew up in esbjerg and always liked the place,so we would generally stop in for a meal whenever in town. on her most recent visit home went with her mother for lunch. to enjoy with the... In my opinion if you enjoy amazing food, Denmark it's not the place to be. But i had a good dinner in Sand's with proper Danish food, price is around 30€ person. When i say good dinner, of course I'm saying DK related, i wouldn't pay more than 15€ in a non-Scandinavian country for this type of meal
