This place has a nice atmosphere, and does excellent food. The menu caters for most tastes although my vegan colleague struggled a little. There's also a good range of drinks. My recommendation: the club sandwich.

Wonderful Brasserie & Cafe on the main street in Odense.. Friendly, attentitive service and scrumptious food.Had the Salmon Carpaccio and Locally reared Pork fillet and ale braised cheeks, complimented by a glas of californian Chardonnay and later chassagne Montrachet.. Finished with a marc de bourgogne and gertruds own brand organic espresso.

This resturant is nice, slow service, but it is very neat place to have lunch. I went there once a week, I tried their nachos and it was not bad at all. It is a crowded place and great location in the center of the Odense City.

Used Gertruds to eat and relax between official meetings with municipality of Odense several times week 36. Nice food, as always in Denmark - wide offer of beverages and good service. Add old, nice cultural surroundings and interesting streetlife. And it gives a pleasant experiance. We will be back!

Great story about this cafe, which you might be able to read if they gave you menus when you sit down -- and that's after explaining to you that "There's a "restaurant" and a "cafe" -- where do you want to sit?" The food is the same, tablecloths on tables of the "restaurant," none at the "cafe," and the "restaurant"... More

Cozy French-style bistro - we just came in for coffee and dessert. Nice place, service was somewhat slow. But I'd recommend the lemon tart to anyone!

This is a lively cafe restaurant that serves the very best chips I have ever had anywhere, bar none. (Yes, I have eaten at the Fat Duck...) The portions are generous and the local Odense draught beer is good. The prices are very reasonable (by Danish standards) and good English is spoken by the staff here. Highly recommended. A big... When the city on a Tuesday evening seems very much empty, the choice of a place to dine alone becomes difficult. My choice for Gertruds came from the location and the crowd. Both acceptable. The staff are nice, speaks good English and attentive. But when the food came, the surprise started. They must have had an artist in the kitchen.... More
