Nice lunch spot

Rick Steves had recommended this as a high end dinner spot, but we arrived here at noon, the first customers in the place. We want to get a light meal as we had a large breakfast. We tried some zucchini balls which were fine, and the waiter recommended eggplant stuffed with tomato chopped, with... read more

This treasure on Hydra in Kamini at the old port is beyond words! Beautiful setting and excellent food! When you arrive on a boat in Hydra, walk to your right and around the point about 10 minutes and follow the signs up to Kodylenia's. No regrets and I cannot wait to travel back there for lunch or dinner!

During my morning run I passed this place; made a note to come back for at least a drink. Later, as we walked through an afternoon downpour along the coastal path, I kept assuring my wife that the walk and the wet would be worth it. It was. The place must be magical in good weather; in a driving rain,... More

I had to put one star out of five but DON'T let you this put you off. You absolutely *must* visit this restaurant because the view is bite the back of your hand beautiful, absolutely breathtaking. In my view, best sunset I've seen. There is a good reason for that and you can easily spot it if you look at... More

The waiter was worse than sulky , he made a point of ignoring you and when he did get around to serving you it was if he was doing you a favour. Lovely view. food average. Doubt if many people go a second time

We were only in Hydra for the day and wanted to have drinks during sunset. Someone recommended this taverna. We did not have food but the drinks were good and the view was wonderful! It's about a 15 minute walk from town and very close to the fabulous Costello Beach (well worth a visit)

The man who served us was brisk-to-surly. No chance to look at the menu, but whisked behind scenes to choose something from a toplit cabinet of school dinner sized trays of unknown veg, meat and fish dishes, some hot, some cold. My veggy partner only wanted something small - a salad please? - and I was hoping for some fresh... More

The scene for much of Daniel Klein's wonderful Travels with Epicurius, Kodylenia's terrace overlooking Kamina harbour is the perfect location for a long lazy lunch in a beautiful setting. It's great seafood, excellent value, and the warmest of welcomes from Dimitri make is long to come back again.

We had lunch a couple of times at the taverna and they serve good traditional Greek food. Nice view over the harbour and the sea. I strongly recommend the zucchini balls and the feta in the oven with red peppar - delicious.

The waitor looked and sounded like he was from another planet. Nothing was good, nothing was food poisoning material either. What an irresponsible way to run a restaurant in such a beautiful spot
