The daily specials (like gyros & souvlaki) are recommended and cheap (5 Euro) but the other ala carte dishes are far from reasonable. Moussaka (12 Euro), Tsatziki 4.50, Souflaki (over 10) and drinks are overpriced too. The service is ok by Greek standards. Not very friendly but ok. The food was actually very good. The gyros were the best I... More

We enjoyed excellent original Greek food made by and served by friendly people. They offer a wide selection of courses, and all tasted very good.

AVOID!!! We went there this evening, and whilst the greek food was ok, the pizza was terrible, expensive an not at all memorable. In addition to this when coming to leave i was told "cash only - no cards!", which is all fine, but it was the attitude and the answer i got to: " thats disappointing, i was hoping... More

This restaurant is located downtown Ancient Olympia, in a small alley with many other restaurants to choose from. I picked this based on the good reviews I saw here but I was extremely disappointed! The portions were tiny and the prices sky-high! We got a cretan salad (which was not cretan at all, by the way, since I come from... More

The restaurant is mostly for tourists, close to the main street in Olympia, but it has good service and the best homemade mousaka we have tried so far.

We had a great dinner at Aegean Restaurant in Olympia. They had a great menu and wine selection. The ruins and Museum at Olympia were great, and to finish up with. Great meal here made it just right. They made a pizza special for my daughter who is a picky eater, and the Greek food for us was locally obtained.... More

As native Greeks, it is rare to find authentic, house made fare with the same quality and richness in flavors as we would cook at home. The Aegean superseded our expectations in not only it's delicious cuisine, but in the impeccable service we received from the entire staff.

It's the middle of July and Olympia is empty. Very very very few tourists. So, what would a suicidal restaurateur do? Post a menu outside the restaurant with masking tape on the prices. Then, charge 4.5 Euros for a dozen kalamata olives. And 9.50 Euros for ten fried anchovies. Zatziki, another 5 Euros. And charge for bread (per person) and... More

We went to Aegean for dinner and it was absolutely one of the best meal we had in Greece. We ordered zucchini rolls and grilled fish. The meal was absolutely wonderful. If you are in olympia and decide to have dinner, the Aegean should be on top on your list.
