The most "honest" souvlaki spot

Clean, fast, tasty, right to the point. Unfortunately it doesn't have french fries.A good family business.

Delikaris runs a small snack bar in the pedestrianised area of Saint Nicholas in Kavala. You can have delicious sandwiches (only bread not pita) with pork or beef souvlaki and sutzukaki for just € 2 each. The downside is that is only a take away buiseness which operates only when the shops are open and never on Sundays.

Perhaps the most quality traditional skewer of Kavala, always with the best quality and service. Skewer in hand and after a lovely walk around the narrow for drink.

After the disappointment by one of the major taverns around the port of the city, we decided to come here. There was a huge queue in front and two hard-working men inside. The costumers eating their take away were looking satisfied and happy. We could not wait no longer to try the delicious suvlaki, made entirely on coal fire. The... More

We found this place from TripAdvisor. The host was so well coming and nice we felt immediately at home. We had the fried liver (which was the best I had in my life!!!) Thé Fried potatoes with onions and Greek salad. Everything was so delicious and fresh. My husband wanted also to try the chicken Slouvaki (which is chicken sish... More

Kebabs on the spit, in the traditional greek souvlaki fashion. If it's not winter and you are lucky, you might even get one of the three small tables.

They produce a twisted souvlaki version. Actually a round pita bread which they fill with either two small souvlaki (pork or chicken), one curry flavoured burger, one sausage, or four little soutzoukakia. 2 euros each. Ask for onions, chili powder (bukovo) or mustard dressing and if you are a student coming from Crete they add yogurt in immediately as they... More

This little store hides authentic flavours. I grew old with this suvlaki. Remains amazing, just like the first bite.
