I have been coming to this taverna before it even had a name. First off... THE VIEW!!! Just check out the photos. Majestic. The vibe is laid back beach casual. People eating, having a beer, playing backgammon. The taverna is perched overlooking Agios Nikolas beach and a small white church....charming. It can be reached by the long narrow, steep hike... The 2 brothers Takis & Paris ARE Papalagi Taverna. The combination of their hospitality and personality and the non-fancy but tasteful and honest food makes PAPALAGI one of most interesting and remarkable tavernas at Folegandros- and one of my favorite places in Europe. I'll be back again and again and again…….. I sincerely hope they maintain the relaxed and non-fancy atmosphere... More

We (my husbant and I) planned to eat at the Papalagi Taverna after swimming in the nearby beach (Ag. Nikolaos). We changed our mind though when we went to buy a bottle of water and two beers, during our stay at the beach. The personnel and / or the owner were rude and haughty, showing no respect. Probably they didn't... More

First of all, you can get the view independent of the restaurant, just sit on the stairs or rocks next to it. It is not worth going there for just the view, in fact it is not worth going period. The fish was overcooked. It was fresh catch though. Just the cook killed it on the grill....what a waste. The... More

The octopus salad is divine. The only rival is the mahi mahi carpaccio. The owner, Paris, is a lovely fellow, full of good cheer and great stories. This is the best place to eat in Folegandros and may have one of the best views of any restaurant in the world. My family ate about 10 lunches here and each one... More

Extremely slow, rude, and amazingly EXPENSIVE taverna. Snobs, they think they are superior to the others. The food is just ok and V E R Y high for what it gives
