Very friendly

All the Greek restaurants we visited in Rethymnon have had good service and been friendly, but Georgio's is special. Food good too!

So it's authentic....old fashioned maybe....but the service is good. They know your face and welcome you. Give you your drinks without ordering. The Greek dishes are the best on the island... Only thing missing maybe would be the owner doing a karaoke session....Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley. ..you name it and it would be a perfect 10.... Love, love it

Was there with my family in September 2013 and decided to pop in for dinner. The place mainly seems to attract Nordic people since it was full with people from Norway and Denmark. How do I know? Because it's a tradition in this place that once the waitresses warmly welcome and show you to the table they put a flag... More

Although we ate decent (never less than average) and for good prices on the entre boulevard, and although every place has its own specials, the food at Giorgio is absolutly fantastic! Not expensive at all, and very well prepared! Lots of traditional and creative meals, and all of them are nice. The lamb in honey with pomegranadseeds is lovely, as... More

Their moussaka is so very delicious - and not expensive! Very nice place, comfy chairs, friendly waitress, good service.

Had a great lunch at Giorgio's place on the main road running parallel to the beach. I'm not sure what drew us to the restaurant, as really it looks like all the others nearby, however I am glad we went inside. From what I can tell, the restaurant is owned and ran by a Greek man with his Swedish wife... More

I cannot recommend this restaraunt highly enough. I wish I'd come across it on the first night of my visit, will definitely be returning to Crete so that I can once again experience the excellence that is Giorgios. The food was some of the best I have ever tasted and at a price that would suit anyones budget. The service... More
