The restaurant is on the site where once stood a Venetian building which was linked to the residence on the south side through a doorway. It is believed that where the covered dining area stands was once a large storeroom and animal stable. The dining courtyard was indeed a courtyard and animal feeding area. In 2003 the chef and owner Harris Pavlakis decided to open the restaurant. An attractive place with very friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and done with flair. I started with spinach and cheese balls, followed by one of the best rabbit stifados ever. To finish I had a plate of local cheese to accompany the very good house red.

A lovely courtyard around a well screened from the street with an indoor section too. Packed the night we went but the staff were helpful and friendly. We shared a greek salad and some fishy bruschetta, then had sea bass and a rabbit casserole - both excellent. Some free honey cake and raki finished off a delightful night.

Went here on our first night in Rethymno as it was just down the street and looked lovely from outside. The Moussaka was great and the pork was very tender. Staff were pleasant and attentive and would return again!

From starter (snails) through main course ( grape leaf-wrapped steamed salmon/rabbit stifado) to dessert (chocolate mousse/cheese cake), each with imaginative use of herbs and spices and exquisite presentation, with excellent house wines and coffee, a memorable dinner to wind up our two-week stay. To say nothing of the friendly reception and marvelous atmosphere.

Lovely setting in a beautiful courtyard. The food was very well presented and very tasty. We even tried goat stew which was soft, succulent and tasty as was the fish. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they had avery good wine list. you will definetly have to book one of the best three restaurants in Rethymnon

We booked the Pigadi two nights in advance,as it was busy. There seemed to be a lot of locals there, always a good sign. Service superb, food beautiful, surroundings interesting. It is an open courtyard, with an extending cover,in case of rain. The waitresses were great, hard working, nothing too much trouble.THe only thing that I really didnt like, was that I put a large denomination note on the... More

Very tasty dishes on offer. We had homemade burgers to start! Yummy! Fish and meat dishes for main! Yummy! Complimentary desert and of course Raki! Staff and service good. Gets busy mid evening, so book or arrive early eve. Tables are moved together for larger groups but best to book! A small water fountain is in the courtyard-remember anti mossie... More

It's definitely set in a lovely little garden. The food is tasty and the menu is fairly varied. The food and drink is slightly pricey but overall very enjoyable.

Even though it's pretty hard to find an ugly restaurant in Rethymno, this one was particularly beautiful. And that's not even counting the pretty and very friendly staff! Very interesting menu, mostly local dishes with a modern twist. We had the lamb chops, the lamb gratin and some grilled octopus as starters, and all was very tasty, pretty and, once... More
