We ate here a few times - food was really tasty and really good value. We ordered a few mezzes and also got some further free ones with our drinks and free watermelon at the end of our meal too. Try the Cretan rusk/bread (Dakos) with the dips. Lovely garden setting opposite the sea/peninsula and friendly staff.

The garden is a lovely place to sit, although the seats are uncomfortable for any length of time, and the tables are too low and small to eat comfortably. It is frequented by locals, which is a good sign. Generous free snacks with drinks. Main course food patchy. Snails were tough and far too salty, squid was soggy. Good salad... More

We visited here a couple of times and enjoyed the relaxed hippy vibe. Lovely traditional meze dishes and local wine. Its a good sign that locals appear to enjoy eating here.

If you want to while away a few hours and enjoy the most delicious authentic Greek food then this is the place for you. This place provides a relaxed atmosphere complimented by a beautiful setting. The meze style food is as good as it gets and the value outstanding. Our party of three ate until we were full and with... More

Poppy's is small, quaint, rustic and DELICIOUS! My bf and I were immediately drawn to the whimsical decor. The outdoor seating has a canopy of trees, and it's right on the water. The menu is small, but delicious...made to order. One other thing, we noticed that a lot of locals also ate here; which I think is a very good... More

We were recommended this " restaurant " and we were not disappointed. It is situated on the coastal road heading to the causeway and is a little inconspicuous as it does not shout out Restaurant. You will recognise it by its blue Cretan furniture set in what looks like a rear garden. The food is mezi only but it is... More

We heard so much about Poppy's that we had to try it for ourselves. No disappointment there. After having a drink, we ordered a selection of mezes. All equally delicious. The place is Small, quaint and shabby chic. Lanterns hanging from over hanging trees. Just lovely. The staff are very friendly. One needs to go early as it's very small,and... More

This is not really a restaurant, it is more a place that you go to for a very informal meze meal with a glass of wine or a beer perhaps after coming off the beach. The service is friendly enough and the prices are very reasonable We asked the lady who served us questions about the mezze and what we... More
