found the place from tripadvisor. fish (calamari, risotto shrimps, cuttlefish) was so fresh and amazingly cooked, it was unbelievable!! price was very very good for the excellent quality of the food. the place is located at the very very end of the old harbor of chania. the service was extremely helpful and friendly.

I had a lovely meal here. For starter I had anchovies, followed by sardines wrapped in vine leaves, with a side of potatoe with lemon, ice cream and coffee. All washed down with a couple of excellent draft beers. I would highly recommended Glossitses.

...that's the place for you. The fish was excellent, fresh and nicely cooked (nice octopus!). Of course is fresh fish, so the prices are higher than in the other tavernas!

We went to this restaurant due to the great reviews it had on this website but found it to be totally overrated. And let me tell you why: - the FOOD is good, but is far from being the best in Chania. We tried the praised grilled octopus and the shrimp risotto and found them to be average. - the... More

We ate fresh grilled octopus and it was so delicious. I loved the modern atmosphere of the restaurant, since I got already a bit tired for the "traditional Cretan style" restaurants. Ecological food and Fair Trade were really a plus for me. Very good service, even if the restaurant was really full (I recommend a table reservation). The reasonable price... More

My husband and I visited this place on our first evening in Khania by coincidence. Having just landed after a long flight, we just wanted something light before bedtime. We ordered a tzatsiki and two Cretan salad but the waiter didn't like it. He asked "why?" When we both wanted the salad. The day after we had read about the... More

We tracked this restaurant down following the reviews I had read before we set off. We were into our second week before we found it in the huge harbour. The name “Glossitses” appears only on the edge of the canopy as elsewhere it’s all written in its Greek spelling – maybe the locals want to keep it a secret ?... More

Fresh grilled tuna was the best I have ever had! Great view and their Raki is the best we have found so far.

Local dishes with an edge, we loved it. You should definitely try the manouri cheese-pie with fig marmelade. Delicious!
