Found this place completely by chance on side streets to the south east of the town centre. The food is on display in a fridge and big pots; you point to what you want, with half and full portions available. You might be able to squeeze one and a half portions each in total if you are big eaters. We... More

We have visited this restaurant a dozen times and each time we really enjoyed the food. The concept of this family restaurant is simple : Every morning, the owner Mrs Despina, an experienced & talented cook, prepares fresh and delicious traditional as well as ethnic dishes and her son Manolis is taking care of their customers with a genuine smile.... If you want to taste what Cretans actually eat at home that's the place to go. Many choices of cooked meals in display for the customer to choose, meat, fish, salads, vegetarian dishes and a good house wine. The stuff is friendly and the service fast.

We went twice. Real Greek home-cooking like my Sephardic grandmother used to make. If you're looking for moussaka and tsatsiki, this not the place. If you want to sample delicious local specialties don't miss it. Order a few half-portions and one full portion.

The Kouzina e.p.e is a lunch restaurant (12:00 - 19:00, or when all the food has been eaten, which happens often). Most of the clientelle are locals, and they know best. There is no menu. Each day the menu may change. A very large variety of all kinds of dishes is spread before you to choose from (soups, vegitarian dishes,... More

In the. Area of old town of Chania, a nice modern place to eat. Modern dished with a hint of gourmet, affordable prices ,hound people from university students to business men all take a short stop to have a meal there. Ask for the daily specialty.

Our BnB host recommended this place to us and it was GREAT! Kouzina means kitchen in Greek and the restaurant offers nice home-made Greek food. Staff were cozy, food was great (especially the mousaka!). And it was cheap! Less than 20 euros for the two of us. Best meal in my Europe trip!
