We have been to Chania 4 times in the last 2 years and this is our favourite eating place. The owners mum makes a load of fresh food up every day and it is sold on site by her son. You need to get in early or your choice may be limited as popular dishes can go pretty quick. As... More

When we arrived to Chania, I felt the old city is like a huge turist trap, althogh the old town is beutiful, i didn't want to sit and eat in one of the turist orinted restaurant. I thought to my self I rather climb back to the mountains with the car, and step into the nearest isolated Taverna, where the... More

Only open till 7pm, this is a great place for lunch - slightly away from the seafront but well worth making the effort. Run by mother, who cooks all the food fresh each day, and her son Manos. An excellent selection for meat and non-meat eaters - best to go to the counter and the owner will guide you through... More

I had to complain because we waited 20 minutes before someone took our order but the waiter apologised profusely about a new system that had caused the delay. We ate a light lunch with half a litre of wine and it was the best restaurant (out of four) we'd visited in Chania. It was also the cheapest at about 20... More

Very friendly staff welcome ... Language not a problem and selection and choice made easy by staff showing you the freshly prepared food. Simply delicious Greek & Mediteranean style food served in nice quiet surroundings. The Kolokithopita (stuffed zucchini flowers) and the Boureki (Zuchini/cheese etc. pie) was great as was the ambience and service overall. Finally topped off by the... More

Just a little off the beaten path, but worth searching out. Today's food is displayed for you to choose the dishes you want to try and a very good selection. We tried the Greek salad, butter bean stew, chicken and spinach lasagne, boureki, stuffed tomatoes with oven baked potatoes and courgette flowers, all homemade and delicious. Really good value for... So good we went twice for Pitha Gyros Pork & Pitha Vegetarian Burger. One of each + 500ml rose 8.80 euro. Fabulous shady seating away from the masses, & excellent haircut advice from the proprietor.
